GETTING THE BEST OUT OF
DESIGN AND PRINT
Map it out
Reference
Format
Think about what it is you want to communicate to your customers. Think about how you want to communicate the
message and where you want to communicate it. Write down or even sketch out your thoughts. Double check all your
dates, your prices, the finer details.
How do you want your POS to look? If you have an existing brand design keep this. If you want something new have a
look at what is out there. Check out your competitors, review other industry competitors and find an idea that you would
like to emulate. Please be aware we cannot copy content or another design due to copyright licensing but we can use
as reference to base your design on.
If you are requesting a menu, please ensure this is supplied in MS Word or an equivalent format. Ensure that you spell
check and read through to ensure you are happy with the grammar and spelling of your content. Please note that we will
use the format of the text provided so if you supply all upper case this is what we will use.

Before submitting your content to Design and Print have a member of your staff double check your content as errors in
your material may lead to artwork charges.
The Brief
The most important part of using Design and Print is to supply a good brief. Our artworkers will not know your pub, they
will not know your consumers or your aims. All request for artwork and print must be supplied by email. Always include
the following information to ensure best results:
Pub name, address, telephone number, website address
What products you require, size and how many - refer to our price list at the back of this brochure.
Your wording, we recommend supplying in ‘ Microsoft Word format’
Any pub logos, images of your pub (high resolution if possible), your colour scheme, any preferred fonts to use
Any reference material, examples that you would like to emulate
The Proof
Approval
Thoroughly check your proof copies and make clear notes on anything that needs changing. Show the proof to one or
two people, no more than two. Remember artwork is subjective and will not always be everyone’s cup of tea. Collate all
feedback and provide in one email.
Once happy with your artwork, email your approval to Design and Print. We cannot print your order without this email.
Ensure you are completely happy with your artwork and content as once approved Design and Print will not be liable
for any content errors.

pubs to visit you need to be talking to passing customers from outside of your pub. The

We all love the look and ambience of those
continental cafés. Our cafe barriers allow you to
extend and define your sales area. Pubs which
protect their customers comfort with windbreaks
can expect not only a longer season but also offer a

Our cafe barriers offer great flexibility and ease of
use. The system simply comprises standard uprights
with a sturdy 10kg base and a choice of 3 crossbar
widths. All are completely interchangeable so you
can mix and match to fit the venue perfectly.

Cafe barrier kits are available in 3 different widths
of 1200mm, 1500mm and 1800mm.
