IQ welcome welcome to the Fifthteenth edition of iq business magazine, a quarterly publication that offers insight and inspiration to sme business owners in cambridgeshire and suffolk WEBSITE www.iqmag.co.uk FOLLOW US ON TWITTER @IQBusinessMag FACEBOOK www.facebook.com/iqbusinessmag CONTACT US 01638 666432 email info@iqmag.co.uk Having attended both the Grant Thornton Cambridgeshire and Suffolk LTD events recently, my enthusiasm for doing business in the area is at an all time high. Coming out of the trough and on our way to positive recovery is a great sentiment to start the New Year. Read more about Grant Thornton’s Cambridge Ltd and Suffolk Ltd review on pages 15-17. As a Suffolk Inward Investment Ambassador, it has been great to meet so many new businesses for this issue and understand their journey. I love a back story, especially Adrian Ward's of Fifth Wing, whose business inspiration came from a rainy day in a caravan with his godson. Perhaps you’ll also be inspired by the ladies at Noel Road whose entrepreneurialism, in the face of illness, has brought them business success as well as a sense of wellbeing. Interestingly, two of our contributors, Mark Edmondson and Steve Elsom, have chosen to highlight some of the issues businesses need to consider in this digital age and how we can best protect ourselves. I think we would all agree that digital technology has improved the way we work. I for one couldn’t imagine life without my Mac or Google! With every positive there is unfortunately always a negative and in this case the digital world has attracted crime and in turn the need for legal advice. For once, I will look forward to the start of 2016 as we have a really exciting year ahead of us. IQ magazine, and our publisher Cubiqdesign, will host our joint celebration of the ‘30 under 30’ campaign at an event that will take place on 14th January at the Hotel Chocolat Café in Cambridge.
