• Had one of the most exciting plays of the year at Syracuse when he dropped<br />

back in coverage, picked off a pass and rumbled 82 yards for a touchdown.<br />

That was the eighth-longest INT return in school history.<br />

• Tallied two big tackles for loss and a 15 yard sack in the win at U<strong>NC</strong>.<br />

AS A FRESHMAN (2013):<br />

• Redshirted the season at wide receiver. Moved to defensive end in the<br />

spring of <strong>2014</strong>.<br />

IN HIGH SCHOOL:<br />

• Played quarterback and safety for coach Jake Fonvielle.<br />

• Team posted a 12-3 record his senior year, a 32-8 mark for his career and<br />

reached the state semifinals.<br />

• Honors: Region’s Defensive Player of the Year by the Wilmington Star-New.<br />

Three time All-Waccamaw Conference selection and the 2012 Columbus<br />

County Player of the Year. 2A all-state selection.<br />

• Career Stats: 3,617 passing yards, 2,070 rushing yards, 280 tackles, 18 interceptions<br />

• Senior Stats: 2,500+ total yards, 126 tackles, six interceptions .<br />

• Earned the Bill Cowher Award for Most Valuable Wolfpack linebacker.<br />

• Led the team in tackles vs. Louisville with nine and at VT and Florida State<br />

with 10.<br />

AS A FRESHMAN (<strong>2014</strong>):<br />

• Saw action in every contest, starting four at middle linebacker.<br />

• The truest, true freshman on the squad - he did not arrive on campus until<br />

the first day of fall camp.<br />

• Led the team in tackles vs. Louisville (his first start), Syracuse and Wake<br />

Forest.<br />

IN HIGH SCHOOL:<br />

• Played on both sides of the ball for Coach Scott Clodfelter.<br />

• Senior Stats: Tallied 74 tackles, including four sacks, and had an interception<br />

in 10 games. Also played running back where he had 53 carries for<br />

• Sophomore Stats: Had 37 solo tackles and 36 assists.<br />

• Rankings: No. 27 LB nationally and No. 39 play in Ohio by rivals.com.<br />

• Personal: Trained with former Wolfpack wide receiver Tramain Hall in<br />

• Co-recipient of the team’s Ken McNeill Iron Wolf<br />

Award, which is awarded annually to the player who<br />

makes the greatest comback from injury. He underwent microfracture<br />

surgery in his knee and came back to make a solid contribution.<br />

• Missed the first half of the U<strong>NC</strong> game after being ejected vs. Syracuse.<br />

• Missed spring workouts with the injury.<br />

AS A SOPHOMORE (<strong>2014</strong>):<br />

• Slowed by injury the entire season, he missed seven games.<br />

• Started the first five contests.<br />

AS A FRESHMAN (2013):<br />

• Second-team Freshman All-American according to Athlon.<br />

• Only true freshman to play on the defensive front, he started five games.<br />
