County Cup <strong>2015</strong> -<br />
Bitter Sweet <strong>Surrey</strong><br />
The sweet was encapsulated by the success of the <strong>Surrey</strong> ladies with their<br />
Group 1 title. Whilst the men were anyth<strong>in</strong>g but bitter the narrow second<br />
place, also <strong>in</strong> Group 1, meant a bitter sweet taste was felt for <strong>2015</strong>.<br />

<strong>Surrey</strong> Ladies enjoyed a fantastic<br />
week to w<strong>in</strong> all of their fixtures<br />
and come out on top <strong>in</strong> Group<br />
1 with Melanie South record<strong>in</strong>g<br />
11 w<strong>in</strong>s out of 12. The team had<br />
their 49th title wrapped up with a<br />
match to spare and didn’t play the<br />
f<strong>in</strong>al rubber with Lancashire due to<br />
the bad weather.<br />
Team Capta<strong>in</strong> Mandy Spicer<br />
said: “Hav<strong>in</strong>g ga<strong>in</strong>ed promotion <strong>in</strong><br />
2014, the girls were on a mission<br />
to certa<strong>in</strong>ly stay <strong>in</strong> Group One.<br />
As the week progressed, the<br />
realisation we could actually<br />
w<strong>in</strong> the Championships became<br />
