The method is usable in several other applications, like archaeological heritage monitoring,<br />

geophysical and hydrological monitoring, boat and submarine monitoring etc.<br />

The proposed methodology<br />

The proposed methodology refers only for the first year of operation, where the break-even point is<br />

realized by the end of the first year of the activity 1 :<br />

WP1. Infrastructure. Time required: M1-M6. Person-month required: 12<br />

Infrastructure is meant to be the development of a company to operate the whole process, the<br />

development and testing of two unmanned helicopters, equipped with the two magnetometers<br />

each, together with the electronics and transmission system and software, with the possible (not<br />

necessary) addition of the magnetometer calibration facility. Some of these activities have to be<br />

outsourced for optimum realization in terms of cost and time.<br />

WP2. Road show. Time required: M7. Person-month required: 2<br />

The unmanned helicopter will be road-shown to the executives of the Serbian State in order to<br />

obtain the first agreement for monitoring of given areas. The helicopters will be able to cover more<br />

than 10 square miles per day.<br />

WP3. Operation-mapping. Time required: M8-12. Person-month required: 2<br />

These five months of operation, the two helicopters will be able to scan more than 2,000 square<br />

miles (within 300 operational days).<br />
