FULL DAY PARQUE PINGÜINO REY –
TIERRA DEL FUEGO
El Parque Pingüino Rey se encuentra en el sector de Bahía Inútil
en la gran isla de Tierra del Fuego. Para alcanzar este lugar, los
viajeros deberán cruzar por aire el Estrecho de Magallanes, para
adentrarse en la isla hacia el sitio escogido por esta particular colonia
de pingüinos. Para este tour, el vuelo Punta Arenas – Porvenir
puede realizarse en avión o en helicóptero DAP.
- Tour incluye guía en toda la ruta, así como trasporte terrestre
una vez los viajeros llegan a Porvenir
- Snack para el camino y un almuerzo tipo picnic
- Incluye un City Tour panorámico de la ciudad de Porvenir y sus
alrededores
KING PENGUIN COLONY FULL DAY
PROGRAM – TIERRA DEL FUEGO
The King Penguin Colony is located in the Bahía Inútil area, on
the great island of Tierra del Fuego. To reach this site, travelers
must fly over the Magellan Strait, to advance deep into the place
chosen by these particular penguin colony. For this tour, the flight
from Punta Arenas to Porvenir may be done by DAP airplane or
helicopter.
- The tour includes a guide during the whole route, as well as
land transport once travelers reach Porvenir
- Snack for the trip and picnic lunch
- Includes a panoramic City Tour of Porvenir and its surroundings
SOBREVUELO GLACIAR MARINELLI –
CORDILLERA DARWIN
El Glaciar Marinelli es el más hermoso y extenso. Es el mayor
glaciar entre todos los que descienden desde el Campo de Hielo
Cordillera Darwin.
Luego de cruzar el Estrecho de Magallanes, se penetra en el Canal
Whiteside, entre Isla Dawson y Tierra del Fuego, al sureste de la
entrada del canal, se abre la gran Bahía Inútil; pasado el canal
nos internamos en el Seno Almirantazgo, bordeando la Cordillera
Darwin y llegamos hasta el área de Bahía Ainsworth, en donde
se encuentra el Glaciar Marinelli, de imponentes paredones de
hielo de una altura de casi 40 metros.
DETALLE DE ACTIVIDADES*
- Transfer desde hotel hacia helipuerto DAP en Muelle Prat, Punta
Arenas
- Vuelo hacia Tierra del Fuego, para iniciar sobrevuelo a Glaciar
Marinelli
- Si las condiciones climáticas lo permiten, se realiza una parada
en algún punto seguro del glaciar, para tomar fotografías
panorámicas y beber un whisky con hielo milenario.
- Retorno a la ciudad de Punta Arenas, sobrevolando el área una
vez más y cruzando Tierra del Fuego

OVERFLYING MARINELLI GLACIER –
DARWIN MOUNTAIN RANGE
Marinelli Glacier is the most beautiful and longest of all. It is the
largest of those that spill down from the backbone of Darwin
Mountain Range.
After crossing the Magellan Strait, the flight goes into Whiteside
Canal, between Dawson Island and Tierra del Fuego, at the
southeast entrance of the canal. Here, we can admire a body of
water called Bahía Inútil, which leads to Almirantazgo Sound, along
the Darwin Mountains and we arrive at Ainsworth Bay, a coastal
inlet where Marinelli Glacier is located. The enormous ice walls
of the Marinelli Glacier are almost 40 meters high.
DETAIL OF ACTIVITIES*
- Transfer from hotel to DAP heliport, located in Prat Pier, Punta
Arenas
- Flight to Tierra del Fuego, to initiate overflight to Marinelli Glacier
- If weather conditions are safe, we will land on the glaciar to take
panoramic Pictures and drink whiskey with millenary ice
- Return to city of Punta Arenas, flying one more time over the
area, crossing Tierra del Fuego
