you want and there is more and
more detail. Even the Fibonacci
numbers appear as the details of
this shape are revealed!
Fractals in Creation
A coast line is fractal in nature,
because there is more
and more detail as you zoom
in. Trees have branches off the
main trunk, and then branches
from branches, twigs, leaves,
and parts of leaves. Romanesque
cauliflower grows in a spiral
Fibonacci shape, and also has
fractal characteristics in being
self-similar. A lightning bolt
takes an uneven, chaotic path. It
branches and forks into intricate
patterns. A fern blade (leaf) has
pinnae (leaflets) that look like
miniature blades. Its leaflets
have pinnules (subleaflets). The
pinnules can have lobes. Ferns
show self-similarity at increasing
levels of detail.
Conclusion
The laws of mathematics, as
well as the existence of mathematical
relationships in nature,
show evidence of a Designer.
God created mathematics, just
as He designed the rest of creation.
There is a verse in the Bible
that says we should “number
our days.” Psalm 90:12: “So teach
us to number our days, that we
may gain a heart of wisdom.”
This verse is telling us to consider
that our days in this life
are limited. Then we will realize
the importance of using those
days for our Creator. You were
created for a purpose. Are you
living that purpose?
