A GREAT START TO THE 43 rd SEASON OF
OHL HOCKEY IN KINGSTON!
Thank you for your support in our big games so far this season, a support
that has led to the 6th highest average attendance in the OHL so far this
season! We’re averaging more fans than ever before in the club’s history,
through our continued support of season ticket holders, corporate partners,
non-profit agencies, minor hockey teams, and group support! Before
our break for Christmas, we have more exciting nights planned, including
our annual Teddy Bear Toss on Friday, November 27 vs. Guelph
Storm and Hockey For Hunger in support of our local foodbanks on Friday,
December 11 vs. Sault Ste. Marie. These two games are always great
showcases for the generosity of our fans to our community. Thank you!

into our team. Gord Hunter brings you “From Russia with Puck” on page
6 about Konstantin Chernyuk, our Russian-born defenceman who come
to Kingston from Russia through Wichita Falls, Texas. Gord also looks at
the birth of the OHL franchise in Kingston with “More Than 40 Years of
Junior Hockey History” on page 12. Tonight’s game story is the introduction
of Barrack The Bear, our new mascot, on page 22.
On and off the ice, the Kingston Frontenacs are off to a great start to our
43rd season of OHL Hockey in Kingston. On behalf of the entire Kingston
Frontenacs Hockey Club, we hope you are enjoying our games, thank you
