Dear Mayor Thompson:
LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR
It is with a great deal of pleasure that I submit our Department’s 2004
Annual Report. I was honored to serve with the men and women of the
Fairbanks Police Department during our Department’s centennial year.
The 2004 Annual Report will cover many things that were done to
celebrate the Police Department’s 100 th birthday. More importantly, it
will document the accomplishments of the dedicated men and women
that will take the Police Department and the City of Fairbanks well into
the first half of the next century of service.
All of the credit for compiling this report goes to the Police Staff, Officers,
and Emergency Service Dispatchers that have done the work. Lt. Dusty
Johnson and Sgt. Doug Whorton deserve special recognition for their
work in planning for our Centennial Celebration, and in completing our
beautiful Police Memorial in time for our September Centennial
ceremony.
With the indispensable help of Administrative Assistant Yumi McCulloch
and Deputy Chief Dan Hoffman, we are proud to present the 2004
Fairbanks Police Department Annual Report.
