21 GH STAR MAGAZINE GH STAR MAGAZINE 22 Our Mission The mission of ENSIGN COLLEGE OF PUBLIC HEALTH is to make substantial contributions to improving community health and well-being in Ghana as well as in the neighbouring African countries, through the provision of community-oriented public health professionals. Through community engaged scholarship that is based on the foundation of basic public health principles and capacities, we will develop health professionals who are community-oriented and skilled at assessing the health needs of communities and promoting community practices that will improve health and well-being. Affiliate institutions Admission and info ECOPH is affiliated to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) for mentorship and certification and collaborating with a renowned University in Public Health, University of Utah, USA for the delivery of the MPH programme to enhance quality and global standards. This collaboration entails having visiting professors from the University of Utah coming to teach on the programme to meet the prevailing current and future community health challenges in Ghana and beyond. It has institutional and programme accreditation from the National Accreditation Board of Ghana. It is also vigorously pursuing accreditation from Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) of U.S.A. This will give holders of EN- SIGN certificates global recognition and enhance their international employment opportunities.
