Einer der wichtigen Wirtschaftszweige Indonesiens<br />
ist sicher der Handel mit Holz, nur wird die Ressource<br />
irgendwann erschöpft sein. Trees 4 Trees wurde von<br />
interna tionalen Möbelherstellern und Kunden ins Leben<br />
gerufen, um die Abholzung zu regulieren und die Bevölkerung<br />
zu schulen. Mit dabei: die Firma Furneco aus Muttenz<br />
in der Schweiz, die Outdoormöbel und auch Möbel<br />
aus recycelten indonesischen Fischerbooten herstellt.<br />

a doubt the timber trade sector. However, like any other<br />
resource, this one too comes to an end at some point.<br />
Trees 4 Trees was brought to life by international furniture<br />
manufacturers and customers with the aim of regulating<br />
deforestation and training the locals. One of the founding<br />
com panies: Furneco from Muttenz in Switzerland. The<br />
manu fac turer produces outdoor furniture and pieces made<br />
from recycled Indonesian fisher boats.<br />

Es begann 2013 mit Beanies, stylishen<br />
Mützen: Patricia Lucero und Toto Alvarez<br />
entwickelten auf einer Reise in Bolivien<br />
die Idee, mit lokalen Handwerkerinnen<br />
eine Produktion aufzubauen, um<br />
heimatlosen Kindern eine Ausbildung<br />
zu ermöglichen. Heute finanziert ein<br />
Beanie fünf Schulmahlzeiten, eine<br />
Tasche ein Set Schulmaterial, ein Poncho<br />
eine Schuluniform und ein Armband<br />

It all started 2013 with beanies, trendy<br />
hats. During a journey to Bolivia, Patricia<br />
Lucero and Toto Alvarez came up with<br />
the idea of engaging the local craftswomen<br />
in an export business in order to enable<br />
homeless children access to education.<br />
Today, one beanie finances five school<br />
lunches, a bag a set of school stationary, a<br />
poncho a school uniform and a wristband<br />
