• If OSPM is trying to set an alarm using EFI runtime services, the alarm should be honored<br />

regardless of the power source (i.e. if the platform has an independent timer for each power<br />

source, they should both be configured with that alarm).<br />

The following ASL code serves as an example of how the Time <strong>and</strong> Alarm Device could be<br />

implemented. It is beyond the capability <strong>and</strong> the scope of this specification to provide a complete<br />

hardware implementation example.<br />
