Putnam Boosts Holiday Offerings Expanded by Popular Demand: Polar Express Pajama Parties New: Frozen 3D and Frozen Sing-Along Sundays! Cold! Cold! Cold! Cold! Cold! Cold! Cold! Cold! Cold!” – Anna, Frozen It is almost holiday time, and that means holiday movies, fun and making memories with the family are just around the corner! This season, thanks to visitor demand, the Putnam is offering more Polar Express Pajama Parties for your family. New this year, we will show Frozen 3D at various times and Frozen Sing-Along Sundays on the biggest screen in the Quad Cities! “Whether you are two or 92, join us and make wonderful holiday memories,” said Kim Findlay, President/CEO of the Putnam Museum & Science Center. “Movies on the National Geographic GIANT Screen are truly an experience, especially in 3D. And our family-focused Polar Express Pajama Parties offer all the fun of the season. Families who started coming to the pajama parties when their children were in grade school are still joining in the fun now that their kids are teenagers. It’s become a tradition that begins the holiday season!” Polar Express Pajama Parties take place Thursday, Dec. 17, 3:30 – 6 p.m. (movie at 5:45 p.m.); Friday, Dec. 18, 3 – 9 p.m. (movies at 3:45, 6 & 8:15 p.m.); and Saturday, Dec. 19, 5:30 – 9 p.m. (Movies at 6 & 8:15 p.m.). Wear your pajamas to a screening of The Polar Express 3D on the GIANT screen and sip hot chocolate. Also, enjoy a lights-out scavenger hunt with hints hidden among the exhibits, face painting and other seasonal highlights – including Tic-Tac-Toe, Make Your Own Jingle Bell, and more. Don’t forget to bring your flashlights! Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 20 for the general public. For Putnam members, they will go on sale Friday, Nov. 6. She sets off on an epic journey – teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven – to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Enjoy special showings of Frozen with the words to the songs shown on the screen.
