Military and law enforcement equipment,
as well as air force and naval.
Dress:
Business dress, military Class A uniforms:
this is an Islamic country and modest
dress is strongly suggested.
Hotel hints:
Most of the Western type chains are represented
and there are many 4- and 5-star
hotels available. Shop around a bit to get
your best rates, but do it well in advance
of the show.
Power & Plug types:
220 volt 50 cycle, with the European style
two-prong “C” type and the British three
flat prong “G” type the most common.
Most hotels have U.S. style available.
Country warnings:
None to speak of at the present time beyond
common sense. Don’t attempt to
cross the Iraq border without a proper visa
and knowledge of what you’re doing, and
stay away from any “Iran tours.” Other
than that, Kuwait is a very safe place.
Cultural hints:
Kuwait is an Islamic country, and it is wise
to wear modest clothing even though the
country is very advanced and fashionable.
Pay attention to religious mores.
Show food:
There was ample food available from different
venues on site.
Tipping:
Taxi - round up to next bill; restaurants
10-15%; bellhops equivalent to
$1USD per bag.

Getting around:
Taxis and hotel cars were the best methods
of transport; check if your hotel has a shuttle
to the show.
