Multilayering, one of our concepts
A layered outfit: that is the perfect dress code to start
your workday well protected and prepared for any
kind of weather.
Every layer has its own specifi c function and
together they interact and complement each other
to offer you the best possible and optimal comfort at
work, at all times.
1 st : bodywear – keeps you dry
The most important function of the base layer
(underwear and T-shirts) is to absorb perspiration
and to transport it away from the skin. The base layer
creates a microclimate close to the skin and keeps
you dry and comfortable in any working condition.
This layer is in direct contact with the skin and is
therefore designed to give you a comfortable feeling.
2 nd : thermal wear – keeps you warm
The second or in-between layer has excellent thermal
insulation properties and is, at the same time, very
breathable. The latter feature is very important,
because the perspiration has to be transported away
towards the outer layer. Mostly, we use fleeces or
softshells to this purpose.
3 rd : workwear – keeps you safe
Sioen redesigned workwear and made it apt for
harsh and hazardous working conditions. The Sioen
workwear collection combines the features of
standard workwear and hi-tech multi-norm fabrics.
By combining them, we lift workwear to a higher
and much safer level. All products correspond to
the latest safety standards: flame-retardant, arc
protection, welding, anti-static, splash protection, etc.
The workwear collection stands out, because of
its excellent wear, comfort and superb washing
properties. Tests have shown that the products can
be washed in industrial laundering at 75° C for more
than 50 times, therefore making them very strong
and lasting.
4 th : rainwear – keeps you protected
The final protective layer shields you from rain or
keeps you safe in harsh work environments. You can
wear the final layer separately or in combination with
any of the other layers in order to increase the level
of protection.
