EN ISO 20471 also specifies minimum requirements
for colour fastness, dimensional stability, tensile- tear

This document specifies minimum
requirements for high visibility clothing that
is to be provided for wearing by people
when on the lineside or on or near the line.
It applies to all high visibility clothing worn
in order to meet the requirements of GE/
RT8000 Rule Book.
EN 13758-2: UV Protective Clothing
EN 13758-2
International research has shown that
prolonged exposures of the skin to the
sun can produce both short and long term
harmful effects. The major cause of this
damage is ultraviolet (UV) radiation.
EN 13758-2 specifi es the requirements for
the marking of clothing which are designed
to offer the wearer protection against solar
UV exposure.
The clothing shall cover the upper body
completely (torso, from the base of the neck
down to the hip, and cross the shoulders
down to ¾ of the upper arm) and/or the
lower body completely (part of the body
from the waist down to below the patella).
The UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) as
determined by EN 13758-1 shall be larger
than 40 (UPF 40+). Our SIO-COOL® products
received an extra UV-protective treatment
which results in an excellent UPF value.
