The PanTones is a community-based steel band that brings the
sound of the Caribbean to events throughout the region. Listen
to a varied repertoire of unique arrangements of calypso,
reggae and pop tunes - songs that will make you smile, get up
and dance! In 2012, The PanTones won the Gold Medal for
Community Bands at the Virginia Beach Caribbean Festival.
The group is sponsored by the Cultural Academy for Excellence,
an award-winning academic enrichment program for children

Smooth Sound Dance Band

The Smooth Sound Dance Band, a spin-off ensemble of the
Milford Community Band, was established shortly after the
Community Band’s inception in January of 1990. Founded by
Tony Perone, the Band was formed in an effort to preserve the
wonderful tunes from the 30’s and 40’s; to establish a means
through which audiences all over Delaware could be treated
to live performances of these beloved charts; and to provide a
venue through which local musicians could have an opportunity
to perform these well-remembered songs.
The uniqueness of the Smooth Sound members is that they are
TRUE musicians who spend time weekly developing their own
individual musical abilities. The musicians have come in at all
different levels, but their individual desire to improve, as adult
