Fiddlers’ Festival<br />

Saturday, <strong>October</strong> 24th • Begins at 1PM<br />

Delaware State’s Official Fiddlers’ Festival has been billed<br />

as “top string!” Fiddlers and banjo players alike provide<br />

a full day of foot-stompin’ entertainment on Saturday,<br />

<strong>October</strong> 24th at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.<br />

With a cash prize contest, the audience becomes the<br />

recipient of some of the best pickin’ possible. There is both<br />

an adult and children’s competition for best fiddle, blue<br />

grass, banjo playing, and new this year...best mandolin!<br />

No fee, however donations are appreciated. Concessions<br />

provided by BAKED and Kick N’ Chicken.<br />

Woodland String Band Performances<br />

Saturday, <strong>October</strong> 24th · During the Parade and<br />

2-2:30PM on the Boardwalk<br />

The Woodland String Band/Mummers was established<br />

in February 1926 and has competed in the annual<br />

Philadelphia Mummers Parade every New Year’s Day since<br />

January 1, 1927. Woodland originated in the Southwest<br />

section of Philadelphia and moved to its current location<br />

on “Two Street” in the heart of “Mummers Row” in July of<br />

The band will have 2 performances on Saturday, <strong>October</strong><br />

24th: during the costume parade and along the Boardwalk<br />

from 2-2:30PM. Weather Dependent.<br />
