5 MINUTE
BEAUTY
I look forward to Fall with great anticipation because it happens to be
my absolute favorite season. It goes without saying that even in the
realm of beauty, autumnal hues dominate my makeup looks and routine.
Truth of the matter is, you and I can rock Fall makeup sans elaborate
frills. Did I say 5 minutes? here's a quick tutorial for you!
STEP 1 | Start with a clean canvas. Wash, tone, moisturize and apply
sunscreen. I rely on multi-tasking products such as Paula's Choice
Resist Youth-Extending Daily Mattifying Fluid SPF 50. It hydrates,
protects against harmful UV rays and keeps oil at bay.
STEP 2 | For daytime wear, opt for light coverage to allow your skin to
breathe. Use BB or CC cream like By Terry Cellularose Moisturizing
CC Cream. It is subtly-tinted and blurs imperfections.
STEP 3 | Conceal dark circles, fake a good sleep. Apply and blend
concealer under the eye area. My go-to is NARS Creamy Concealer.
STEP 4 | Apply eye primer for longevity then sweep shimmer taupe
eyeshadow all over eyelids using flat eyeshadow brush. For this tutorial,
I used NARS Dual Intensity Eyeshadow Himalia.
STEP 5, 6 | Curl lashes and apply 1-2 coats of mascara.
STEP 7 | Set concealer and/or foundation as you normally would. My
favorite product to-date is Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Powder
Foundation
STEP 8 | Extend your summer warmth vis-a-vis glow. Trust me, it
compliments Fall's dark makeup or vampy lips. With domed powder
brush, lightly apply bronzer on the hollows of your cheeks. For this
look, I used Tom Ford Illuminating Powder Duo Moodlight (dark
shade).
STEP 9 | Finish with luminous berry lipstick like Tom Ford Lip Color
Moroccan Rouge.
I hope you enjoyed this 5-Minute Fall Makeup!

FALL
LIPSTICKS
Fall is the time for sultry smoky eyes and beautiful
bold lips! And while I happen to be a huge fan of
both, fall lip colors definitely take the cake for me.
I just love the deep plums (and wines, and berries...
they're kind of all in the same general family of
gorgeousness), rich reds and darker nudes that tend
to come around again every fall. There is always a
lipstick in each of these shades that'll flatter any
skin tone and take your fall makeup look up a
notch. Here are the three must-have lipstick shades
for fall!
PLUMS
At the top of my list for plums this season is the
Pixi Mattrelustre Lipstick in Plum Berry. It's
super creamy, so easy to apply and is a gorgeous
plum/berry shade (if you couldn't tell by the name,
haha!). Runners up are the MAC Satin Lipstick in
Rebel and the Bite Beauty Luminous Creme
Lipstick in Mulberry.

REDS
I personally feel that it's hard to go wrong with reds. There really is a variation of this color that'll flatter every
skin tone! My current favorite is the MAKE UP FOR EVER Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick in Moulin Rouge.
This lipstick applies like a dream and wears like a dream! Runners up are the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid
Lipstick in Outlaw and the Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Matte Confident.
NUDES
It took me a long time to realize that nude lipsticks don't have to be the same color as (or lighter than) your
skin. They can be a bit darker- and have different pink, brown or peach tones to them- and still be considered a
nude... revelation, haha! I am absolutely in love with the Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel in Role
Play. It is the most perfect dusty rose nude for fall. Runners up are the NYX Cosmetics Round Case Lipstick
in Minimalism and the L'Oreal Collection Privee The Perfect Nudes Lipstick in Jennifer's Nude.
I promise that there will be a lipstick in each of these shades that will work for you, regardless of your skin
tone- you may just have to do some swatching in-store before deciding on which exact lipsticks to try. And
more than anything, remember that confidence is KEY in pulling off an awesome lip color- so just rock it!

Summer is over and Fall is in full swing. Of course with the
change in season you are probably updating your makeup bag
and your skincare routine. I have five quick tips to help you
make the transition easy!
FALL
BEAUTY
1) Get a new foundation match. I'm always surprised by how
quickly my tan fades away and I am left somewhere between
my summer shade and my hasn't-seen-sunlight-in-six-months
April shade. Check out Color IQ at Sephora or ask a sales
associate to help you color match yourself for something that
suits your skin tone. Some of my favorite foundation formulas
for Fall are the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation +
Concealer, Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover
Foundation, and Estée Lauder Double Wear.
2) Try out a smoky eye. I wear smoky eyes year round, but
there's something about a smoky eye and berry lips that just
screams Fall to me. Most neutral palettes have a wide range of
shades that are suitable for a smoky eye. Some of my favorites
lately are the Becca Ombre Rouge palette, and the Urban
Decay Smoky palette.

3) Find a new signature scent. I tend to move away from some of the lighter,
fruitier scents that I enjoy in the summer and gravitate towards fragrances
with amber, vanilla, and woodsy florals. A good way to pick out a new set is
find a sampler that contains many scents from different fragrance families.
Check out the Sephora Favorites Perfume Sampler for a sample set that
comes complete with a voucher for your full sized favorite. My signature
scent last Fall was L'Occitane's Arlésienne, a beautiful fragrance with extracts
of rose from Grasse, sweet violet, and saffron from Provence.
4) Find a good lip balm. I am pretty good about keeping my lips hydrated,
but in the colder months of the year it's especially important to keep up with
lip balm. I try to wear it to bed most nights to keep dry lips at bay. Some of
my favorites have been the Bite Beauty Agave Mask and Burt's Bees
Replenishing Lip Balm.
5) Stay hydrated. This one seems obvious but with the return of the #PSL
everyone starts to load up on hot caffeinated drinks and forget about water. I
try to drink two glasses of water for each cup of coffee I consume. My skin,
hair, and nails all seem to fare better when I load up on water! I got my
current water bottle at Home Goods, but I've heard great things about the bkr
glass water bottle so that will be my next purchase!
I hope my five quick beauty tips take you into Fall with style!

Glowing skin is something everybody wants! There are so
many contributing factors to having nice skin. Some things
you can't help (genetics) and some things you can help (great
habits). Read on for ten skincare tips that will help you
achieve glowing skin.
GLOWING
SKIN
1) Stay hydrated. Make sure you are getting enough water
and your skin will show the results of this great habit. I carry
a chic water bottle with me to remind me to drink up!
2) Nourish your skin from the inside out. The cleaner I keep
my diet, the clearer my skin looks. Loading up on fruits,
veggies, whole grains, and other healthy noms keep my skin
looking great. As a bonus, eating healthy keeps me in great
shape too! I eat a high protein salad almost every day for
lunch that is amazing and keeps my skin looking awesome.
3) Cleanse with oils. Rather than using makeup removers
and washing my face over and over again, I have been
cleansing with oils at night to remove my makeup, and
following up with another cleanser. My skin has been more
balanced than ever since I started doing this. A favorite
cleansing oil of mine is the Shiseido Perfect Cleansing Oil,
but if you don't want to spring for a new purchase, use olive
oil! I usually follow up with Murad Refreshing Cleanser.

4) Avoid over exfoliating. Using a harsh scrub every day can be really
hard on your skin. I exfoliate a couple times a week and avoid gritty
scrubs that leave my skin pink after using them. Shiseido Ibuki Purifying
Cleanser has micro-granules for a gentle exfoliating effect. The Foreo
Luna is also a great tool that will give your skin a deeper clean without
stripping your skin of its natural oils.
5) Always wear sunscreen. This might be the most important point on the
list! If you want to have great skin as you age, avoid tanning beds and
slather on the SPF. You'll avoid prematurely aging your skin, age spots,
and other unsightly skin issues if you just use sunscreen!
6) Check the ingredient list. If you are looking for products with specific
skin care benefits, make sure the ingredient you are seeking out is not too
far down on the ingredient list. Many awesome skincare ingredients that
may just be an additive to your face cream or serum are available as stand
alone products as well. Hyaluronic Acid is a popular ingredient for
hydrating the skin found in many pricey serums, but Reviva Labs
Hyaluronic Acid can be found in the $20 range!
7) Use skincare targeted to the concerns you need to address. A lot of
people are worried about wrinkles and use rich face creams from a young
age, which then cause them to break out. Make sure the products you are
using are lining up with your skincare goals.
8) Don't overdo it with anti-acne products. Having pimples is a major
bummer but many anti-acne products like salycylic acid and benzoyl
peroxide can be very drying. Murad is an amazing skincare line that
targets acne and anti-aging at once without drying out the skin at all.
Murad's Acne Clearing Kit is a great place to start if you're trying to get
rid of blemishes without drying out your skin.
9) Use a hydrating mist. To maintain a hydrated and luminous
complexion during the day, spritz your face with a spray for dehydrated
skin. Caudalie's Grape Water increases skin's moisturization by 10%
10) Use a mask for glowing skin. L'Occitane's Divine Cream Mask comes
with a special applicator for massaging the skin. It's a treat for your face
and with regular use gorgeous and glowing skin will emerge. The price
tag may be high, but the results seem worth it!

FOR FALL
Summer is quickly becoming a distant memory. Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back
on the Starbucks menu and that signals Fall is just around the corner. As much as
I hate to say goodbye to summer; I’m ready to trade the bold neons for warm
and chic colors. I’m excited to see fall nail polish collections hitting the stores.
Before you grab those dark and vampy or subtle neutrals make sure your nails
are in tip top shape. Follow these easy 10 steps to get your hands and nails ready
to show off fall colors.

TOP 5 CREAM NAIL
POLISHES FOR FALL

PERFECT
AT HOME
MANICURE
Going to the nail salon every few weeks can get costly and take up a ton of
your time that most of us just don’t have. Don’t think you have what it
takes to create perfectly posh and chic nails at home? Think again! If you
follow these tips and tricks, you can get salon quality manicures in no time
and for half the cost!
STEP ONE : GATHER THE
ESSENTIALS
When I do my manicures at home, I always make sure I have the
following ready to go :
• Nail File (I love using the 4 step file I picked up at Walgreens. It’s so
convenient!
• Cuticle Pusher
• Nail Clippers (In case you need a trim)
• Cuticle Oil & Balm
• Nail Polish Remover
• Clean Up Brush / Cup
• Hand Lotion
• Base Coat & Top Coat

STEP TWO : START PREPPING!
Start by removing your previous nail polish with your go to polish remover. I have been loving the Ella + Mila Soy Polish Remover lately.
It is enriched with vitamins A, C & E as well as lavender essential oil. This helps to moisturize your nails and doesn't contain acetone or
harsh chemicals that tend to dry them out.
If your nails need a trim, go ahead and use your nail clippers to clip them down. If not, go ahead and file whichever shape is best for you. I
tend to file mine square.
Once you are all filed and buffed, it’s time to work on those cuticles! Grab your Nail Butter and start massaging a pea size amount onto each
nail. The Nail Butter will quickly absorb into your cuticles making them feel hydrated and moisturized. Take your cuticle pusher and gently
push back your cuticles. I will then take a cuticle oil and brush it on my cuticles again for the extra hydration. I have been LOVING the
cuticle oils from Delush Polish. She has fantastic Fall scents (My favorite right now is Vermont Honey Apple!)
After your cuticles have been pampered, grab your favorite hand lotion and generously apply it onto your hands and arms. Before you begin
polishing, make sure it has been completely absorbed and is dry. Want to feel extra pampered? Grab a washcloth and run it under
EXTREMELY hot water to create your own hot towel compress and place it over your hands for a few minutes. So luxurious!
STEP THREE : TIME TO PAINT!
Once your lotion and cuticle oil have completely absorbed, it’s time to pick your favorite color and begin the polishing process.
Before applying a base coat, use a cotton ball or cotton round dipped in polish remover to remove any excess oils or lotions on the nail bed.
This will help to give you a clean and even manicure.
Applying a base coat is a must! There are some polishes that will stain your nails and the base coat will protect them from doing so. My go to
right now is KBShimmer Basic Training. Using a base coat also creates a long lasting bond between the nail and the polish.
Once your base coat is dry, start applying your favorite shade! Apply your color in layers, allowing each one to dry in between coats. Two
coats of polish plus a shiny top coat like Glisten & Glow HKGirl will do the trick. This top coat dries INCREDIBLY fast and gives your nail
polish an intense shine. With this top coat, your polish will last for up to 7 days!
if you notice any polish on your skin, clean up is a breeze with the right tools. I grab a small glass jar & fill it with polish remover and clean
up my skin and any imperfections with a small cosmetics brush. My go to (and ones I buy in bulk) are from ELF and cost a whopping one
dollar! And Voila! You’re done!
Pop on some Netflix and patiently wait for your nails to dry before moving onto your next task. If you touch up your manicure every few
days with another layer of top coat, you can definitely get more wear time! Or if you’re like me and love to change your polish color every
few days, skip that step! And of course, keep those hands & cuticles moisturized!
And that’s it! You can absolutely get a gorgeous and salon quality manicure in the comfort of your own home without having to pay
someone. What are some of your favorite at home manicure tools?

FABULOUS FALL
HAIR
Fall is here, and with the change in season comes a
change in your hair care routine. Whether you are
looking to get your hair back in shape after a summer of
trips to the beach, dry from the heat, or just trying to
maintain a healthy mane during the colder months, I
have the best of the best tips for caring for your hair
through fall.
TIP 1: Shampoo Less Often Fall brings cooler temps, so
your head is going to be sweating less. Less time in
pools, lakes and oceans means you can slow down on
the shampoos. Better still, choose one that is sulfate free.
TIP 2: Get a Moisturizing Conditioner The cooler
temperatures mean that I can’t air dry my hair as easily
as I can in the summer. I end up using a diffuser to help
things along, which can add to dryness of my hair. I use
a heavier daily conditioner once fall comes around.
TIP 3: Deep Treat Moisture! Moisture! Moisture! How
often you deep treat will depend on your hair. Fine hair
can easily get weighed down, so use your best
judgement. I go from deep treating once per week in the
summer to two times per week during fall.
TIP 4: Get a Trim I like to trim my ends with the
change of season. Since I am so diligent about
maintaining healthy hair, I don’t find that I need to trim
my ends more often than that.
TIP 5: Find Your Perfect Updo While I do like wearing
my hair down with all of those cute fall scarves, they
can contribute to hair damage at the base of your neck
by rubbing against your hair as you turn your head back
and forth. Try and wear more updos to keep your hair
away from your scarves.
Follow these tips and your hair will thank you for it!

FALL HAIR
GOLD ACCESSORIES
Gold is one of those colors that naturally goes with the fall shades we
see trending. It looks rich, regal, & adds some fun to your hair without
much effort! Some of my favorites are no-snag hair ties like these
stretchy metallic ones or these with some beads! I often wear them
around my wrist like a bracelet. Another favorite is a gold chain
headband- cute & can be dressed up or down! Beaded headbands with
a touch of gold are also comfortable & golden bobby pins are very
chic!
STYLE EXTENDERS
Fall is the beginning of colder weather...& dryness! Keep your hair
looking good without overwashing with these style extenders! Redken
Pillow Proof Blow Dry Primer Spray helps to cut blow dry time, acts
as a heat protectant, & helps make your style last even through your
sleep! Suffer from lack of volume the next day or right after washing
but don't need to use dry shampoo? I'm in love with the Redken Quick
Tease 15 to give me some grip when combing in the volume after I
wash & the Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Texture & Volume Spray on day
two hair for some oomph. Love a tousled look? Then the Style Sexy
Hair Play Dirty Dry Wax Spray will be your best friend, I love using
this on my second day hair after wearing a hat! Last I have the oh-soaffordable
Garnier Fructis Style De-Constructed Texture Tease
Hairspray which gives an instant boost to hair & a textured
appearance.
HAIR MOISTURIZERS
When the weather gets more dry...hair rebels & needs some extra
TLC. Curly Twirls Twirl Tamer is great for gals with wavy to curly
hair that want to moisturize & style without that sticky feeling. For
natural moisture I turn to Organic Virgin Coconut Oil & apply it to my
ends over night. I wash it out in the morning & my ends are so
healthy! Love a hair mask? The DermOrganic Intensive Hair Repair
Masque is a blessing- super rich & helps repair hair in the shower!
Don't have enough time for that? Check out the Freeman Beauty
Papaya & Mango Moisture 3 Minute Conditioner is also a great pick
for a bit more moisture without going overboard!

BLACK & WHITE DETAILS
Want to invest in hair accessories you can wear
time after time? I'm obsessed with black & white
hair accessories because they never go out of
style & look great with almost any outfit. For
fall, I especially like black & off-white so it isn't
so harsh & the creamier shades melds better with
the rich fall hues. You can view handmade items
from Italy which happen to be from my favorite
company Moliabal here. They have an entire
b&w line that I lust after all the time! Another
option is some affordable bows like these I found
online which look chic at the base of a bun!
OILS & SERUMS
Want to cure your hair of dryness? My best tip is finding
the perfect oil or serum! I really love the CHI Argan Oil
Plus Moringa Oil which is my favorite for heat styling as
well! Redken All Soft Argan-6 Oil is probably my
favorite oil for when I'm leaving my hair down & curly
because it makes my hair incredibly soft & adds
beautiful shine. Want something luxe? The ISO Beauty
Ionix 24K Pure Gold Flakes Hair Serum is definitely
luxurious with gold flakes, a nice gold bottle, & doesn't
make hair feel heavy or greasy. Last is the Tara Smith
Base Coat Serum which is vegan & totally stops frizz
while lasting between shampoos! This serum is amazing
and a serious must have.
So what are your hair must haves for Fall?

FABULOUS
EXTENSIONS
The world of hair extensions can be very intimidating to someone who is completely new to them. It is very easy to invest money
in a set and totally ruin them which can sour your hair extensions experience. Let me guide you through the world of hair
extensions so you can avoid a hair extension meltdown.
W H A T T Y P E S A R E T H E R E ?
Choose the hair extension system that works for you. I’ll break them down in a second but always remember that extensions
require maintenance. Some systems more than others. If you cannot commit to the daily upkeep, save your money! Now, lets
break down the hair extensions options available:
Clips Ins/Halos/Glue Ins - Perfect for changing up your hair when you want a temporary change. Halos/Clip Ins should not be
worn daily because that can lead to hair loss. You cannot sleep or swim in any temporary system either. Glue Ins are a little more
lenient. They can be worn several days at a time and will need to removed prior to showering/swimming. All three systems can be
installed at home and can last over a year with great care. Temporary hair extensions are the easiest to care for since they don’t
require frequent washing (wash no more than twice a month) and styling.
Sew Ins - An option for those who have full or thick/coarse hair. Your stylist will basically braid your hair wherever they are
adding the wefts and sew the wefts in using a thread that matches your hair color. You can do your entire head OR you can do
partial sew ins. If you do your entire head you can attach a wig as well. Plan for 4-8 hours of chair time with your stylist. You can
swim in, sleep in and wash your Sew Ins. Hair can be worn up or down in a variety of ways. You should return to your stylist
every 4-8 weeks to have your extensions tightened. Out of all the semi permanent methods, this one requires the most care when
washing. You have to make sure that your hair and scalp dry completely after washing/swimming to avoid mold/mildew and other
complications. Depending your method (hair wefts vs a wig) a sew in installation can also be very itchy. The hair is usually
reusable.
