has announced
to double its
investment in Punjab
from earlier Rs700
crore to Rs1,400
crore.
ITC Limited’s
fast-moving consumer
goods (FMCG) businesses
president Sanjiv
Puri, during his
interaction with
Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh
Badal, said his company was increasing
its investment in the Food Park at
Kapurthala.
The ITC had succeeded in making
Kinnow juice, and the product was under
consumer testing and would be in the
market within the current financial year.

success story becoming the
smallest state in the country and the
first in northern India to have two
international airports.
This international Airport at Jhiurheri
village of Mohali, the second in
the state after Amritsar airport, would
give the much needed boost to the
economy of the state by connecting it
with the rest of world. It was a wonderful
gift to the Punjabi Diaspora settled
across the globe as it would enable

roots. International air connectivity
from Mohali was all the more important
because it would connect the entire
northern region comprising
Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh,
Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand and
even the western parts of Uttar Pradesh
with the other parts of the world.

The new international terminal
would provide a passenger hub, as well
that the Government
was ready to
create entire infrastructure
for the
greenhouse at Ladhowal.
“Companies
and farmers taking
up area in the
greenhouse would
have to pay operating
costs only,” he
added.
Molson Coors
president Ravi
Kaza, who also met Sukhbir, announced
that his company was upgrading
its plant by investing Rs 50
crore. Representatives of Marks and
Spencer, Cannon, Shakti Bhog Atta,
Walmart and Dabur also held one-toone
meetings with the Deputy Chief
Minister.
