Background
Big data is an all-encompassing term for any collection of data sets so large and complex that it
becomes difficult to process using on-hand data management tools or traditional data processing
applications. A NoSQL or Not Only SQL database provides a mechanism for storage and
retrieval of data that is modeled by means other than the tabular relations used in relational
databases. MongoDB (from "humongous") is a cross-platform document-oriented NoSQL
database. 70% time will be devoted on hands on sessions.
