quincailleries, bijouteries, magasins de meubles,
d'instruments de musique, magasins de fruits et
légumes ainsi qua tous les genres de commerce de
détail identiques qui existent ou qui pourraient
exister pendant la durée du présent décret.
b.— Le mot « employé » désigne toute personne
employée dans un établissement commercial
visé par le décret et préjxjsé à la vente, à la
livraison, à la préparation des vitrines, l'entretien
ou au travail de bureau.
IL— Juridiction: a.— Juridiction territoriale:
\A- prêtant décret s'applique à la ville de Farnham
ainsi qu'à un mille des limites territoriales
de la ville.
b.— Juridiction commerciale: Le présent décret
s'applique à toute personne, association,
compagnie, société, corporation commerciale qui
opère un établissement commercial ou tout genre
de commerce dans les limites de la juridiction
territoirale du présent décret.
III.— Heures de travail: La semaine de travail
est de 56^2 heures réparties de la façon suivante:
a.— Les lundi, mardi et jeudi, de 8 heures a.m.
à bj^ heures p.m.
b.— Les mercredis, de 8 heures, a.m. à 1 heure
p.m., excepté du 9 au 17 décembre qui seront de
s heures, a.m. à 6)^ heures p.m.
c.— Les vendredis, de 8 heures a.m. à 9 heures
p.m.
d.— Les samedis, de 8 heures a.m. à 10 heures
p.m.
e.— Durant le mois de décembre:
du 18 au 30, de 8 heures a.m. à 9 heures
p.m.
le 24 décembre, du 8 heures a.m. à 10
heures p.m.
le 31 décembre, de 8 heures a.m à 10
heures p.m.
/. — Une heure sera accordée pour les repas du
midi et du soir quand les employés seront appelés
à travailler le soir.
IV.— Jours Chômés: Le premier de l'An, le
0 janvier, le lundi de Pâques, l'Ascension, le 24
mai, la St-Jean Baptiste, le premier juillet, la
Fête du Travail, le jour de l'Action de Grâces,
la Toussaint, l'Immaculée Conception et la
Noël.
b.— La veille d'un jour chômé, si ce jour
tombait un mercredi est considérée comme un
jour ordinaire du vendredi et les heures de travail
se termineront à 9 heures p.m.
V.— Salaires, Les salaires minima sont les
suivants pour tous les employés non autrement
spécifiés dans le present décret:

stores, paint, wall-paper stores, shoe-makers'
shops, hardwares, ironmongeries, jewellers' shops,
furniture and musical instruments stores, fruits
and vegetables and all kinds of identical trades
which actually exist or which may come into
existence during the period of enforcement of the
present decrree.
b.— The word "employee" means any person
employed in commercial establishment governed
by the decree ami committed lo the sales, delivery,
window display, maintanance of ofiice work.
II.— Jurisdiction: a.— Territorial jurisdiction:
-The present decree applies to the town
of Farnham and to a radius of one mile from the
territorial limits of the town.
b.— Commercial jurisdiction:— The present
decree applies to any person, association,
company, partnership, commercial corporation
operating a commercial establishment or any
kind of trade within the limits of the territorial
jurisdiction of the present decree.
III.— Hours of work:— Tlie work week consists
of 56^2 hours distributed as follows:
o.— On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday:
from 8.00 a.m. to 0.30 p.m.
b.— On Wednesday: from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00
p.m. with the exception of the period from December
the 9th to the 17th on which days the distribution
of working hours will be as follows: from
8.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
c— On Friday: from 8.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m.
d.— On Saturday: from 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.
e.— During the month of December:
From the 18th to the 30th: from 8.00 a.m.to
9.00 p« m.
On December 24th : from 8,00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.
On December 31st : from 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.
/.— One hour will be tranted for the noon
meals and a similar period off for the evening
meals when the employees are required to work
in the evening.
IV.— Holidays: New Year's Day, January
the 6th, Easter Monday, Ascension Day, May
24th, St. John the Baptist Day, July 1st, Labour
Day, Thunksgiving Day, All Saints' Day, Immaculate
Conception Day and Christmas Day.
6.— Holiday eves when falling on a Wednesday
are considered as ordinary Fridays and the working
hours, on such days, will end at 9.00 p.m.
V.— Wages:—The minimum wages are the
following for all the employees whose working
conditions are not otherwise specified in the
present decree:
