23. Nombre d'apprentis par compagnon: Aucun<br />
employeur ne peut embaucher plus d'un (1)<br />
apprenti pour chaque compagnon à son emploi.<br />
24. Rémunération <strong>de</strong>s apprentis: Les apprentis<br />
<strong>de</strong> première catégorie recevront un salaire horaire<br />
égal à 45% du taux <strong>de</strong> salaire horaire du compagnon<br />
tel que défini ù l'article 3.02 - 1.<br />
Les apprentis <strong>de</strong> secon<strong>de</strong> catégorie recevront<br />
un salaire horaire égal à 00% du taux <strong>de</strong> salaire<br />
horaire du compagnon tel que défini à l'article<br />
3.02-1.<br />
25. Recommandations du Comité Permanent:<br />
Le Comité peut recomman<strong>de</strong>r d'émettre, <strong>de</strong> ne<br />
pas émettre, <strong>de</strong> renouveler, <strong>de</strong> ne pas renouveler<br />
la licence d'apprenti à un aspirant apprenti, ou<br />
apprenti suivant le cas qui n'a pas les aptitu<strong>de</strong>s<br />
suffisantes pour le métier, ou un apprenti qui ne<br />
veut pas se conformer aux règlements d'apprentissage<br />
du Décret et à l'autorité du Comité<br />
Permanent d'Apprentissage.<br />
XI. Durée: La présente section <strong>de</strong>meure en<br />
vigueur jusqu'au 31 mars 1069.<br />
(La présente Seetion rend obligatoires les<br />
dispositions <strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong>ux conventions collectives <strong>de</strong><br />
travail intervenues entre: La Corporation <strong>de</strong>s<br />
Maîtres Mécaniciens en Tuyauterie du <strong>Québec</strong><br />
(Section Montréal); « United Association of<br />
Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing<br />
and Pipe Pitting Industry of the United States<br />
and Canada, Local 144, Montreal » et le Syndicat<br />
<strong>de</strong> la Construction <strong>de</strong> Montréal (C.S.N.).<br />
2° Le paragraphe suivant sera ajouté à l'arti"<br />
cle 58 <strong>de</strong> l'article VII (Bénéfices <strong>de</strong> Sécurité<br />
Sociale), lequel article VII <strong>de</strong>viendra l'article<br />
VII-A:<br />
« Dans les cas où les contributions d'employé 8<br />
ont été déduites par l'employeur et que ce <strong>de</strong>rnier<br />
u négligé <strong>de</strong> les remettre au Comité Conjoint, le<br />
Sous-Comité <strong>de</strong> Sécurité Sociale pourra déclarer<br />
que l'éligibilité aux bénéfices d'assurance-vie d'un<br />
employé ou ancien-employé décédé soit calculée<br />
en tenant compte <strong>de</strong>s contributions déduites mais<br />
non remises, si ledit Sous-Comité est convaincu<br />
que l'employeur a déduit <strong>de</strong>s sommes d'argent<br />
<strong>de</strong> la paie <strong>de</strong> l'employé et que le fait que lesdites<br />
sommes d'argent n'ont pas été remises au Comité<br />
Conjoint n'est aucunement imputable à l'employé<br />
ou l'ancien employé décédé. »<br />
La publication du présent avis ne rend pas<br />
obligatoires les dispositions qui y sont contenues.<br />
Seul un arrêté en conseil peut rendre obligatoire<br />
ces dispositions, avec ou sans amen<strong>de</strong>ment.<br />
L'arrêté en conseil ne peut entrer en vigueur<br />
avant la date <strong>de</strong> sa publication dans la Gazette<br />
<strong>officielle</strong> <strong>de</strong> <strong>Québec</strong>.<br />
Durant les trente jours à compter <strong>de</strong> la date<br />
<strong>de</strong> publication <strong>de</strong> cet avis dans la Gazette <strong>officielle</strong><br />
<strong>de</strong> <strong>Québec</strong>, l'honorable Ministre du Travail recevra<br />
les objections, en double copie si possible,<br />
que les intéressés pourront désirer formuler.<br />

23. Number of apprentices per journeyman:<br />
No employer may hire more than one (1) appren<br />
tice for each journeyman in his service.<br />
24. Apprentice wage-scale: Apprentices in the<br />
first category shall receive an hourly wage rate<br />
equal to 45% of the journeyman's wuge rate, as<br />
specified in section 3.02- I.<br />
Apprentices in the second category shall<br />
receive an hourly wage rate equal to 60% of the<br />
journeyman's wage rate, as specified in section<br />
3.02-1.<br />
25. Permanent Committee's recommendations<br />
When an apprenticeship candidate or apprentice<br />
does not |x>sess the required aptitu<strong>de</strong> for the<br />
tra<strong>de</strong> or when he refuses to comply either to the<br />
apprenticeship regulations of the <strong>de</strong>cree or the<br />
authority of the Permanent Apprenticeship<br />
Committee, the Committee may recommend<br />
that the apprentice licence l>e issued, not issued,<br />
renewed or not renewed.<br />
XI. Term: This Section remains in force until<br />
March 31. 1909.<br />
(This Section makes binding the provisions<br />
of two collective labour agreements entered into<br />
between: the Corporation of Master Pipc-Mechanies<br />
of <strong>Québec</strong> (Montreal section), the United<br />
Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of<br />
the Plumbing and Pipe-Fitting Industry of the<br />
United States and Canada (local 144. Montreal 1.<br />
and le Syndicat <strong>de</strong> la Construction <strong>de</strong> Montréal.<br />

2. The following subsection will lie ad<strong>de</strong>d to<br />
article 58 of article VII (Social Security Benefits).<br />
Article VII will then become article VII-A:<br />
"In cases where employee contributions have<br />
l>een <strong>de</strong>ducted by the employer and the latter<br />
has neglected remitting them to the Joint Committee,<br />
the Social Security Sub-Committee may<br />
rule that a <strong>de</strong>ceased employee or ex-employee's<br />
claim to life insurance Inmefits IK- calculated on<br />
the basis of contributions <strong>de</strong>ducted but not remitted,<br />
provi<strong>de</strong>d that the sub-committee is convinced<br />
tiiat the employer has <strong>de</strong>ducted the<br />
amounts from the employee's wages and the fact<br />
that such amounts never reached the Joint<br />
Committee is no fault of the <strong>de</strong>ceased employee<br />
or ex-employee."<br />
Publication of this notice does not make binding<br />
the provisions therein. Such provisions,<br />
with or without amendments, can be ma<strong>de</strong> binding<br />
only by an Or<strong>de</strong>r in Council, which comes<br />
into force on the date of its publication in the<br />
Quebec Official Gazette.<br />
During the thirty days following publication<br />
of this notice in the Quebec Official Gazette, the<br />
Honourable Minister of Labour will consi<strong>de</strong>r objections<br />
which interested parties may wish to<br />
make; objections should be submitted in duplicate<br />
if possible.<br />
