Present: The L<strong>ie</strong>utenant-Governor in Council.<br />

CONCERNING the purchase «rf moveab<strong>le</strong> objects<br />

«<strong>le</strong>livered to common carr<strong>ie</strong>rs to be delivered<br />

outside the Province of Quebec and the Retail<br />

Sa<strong>le</strong>s Tax Act, Chapter 71, R.S.Q. 1964, and<br />

amendments.<br />

WHEREAS section 27 of Chapter 71, R.S.Q.<br />

1964 and amendments allows the L<strong>ie</strong>utenant-<br />

Governor in Council to enact regulations for the<br />

purpose of carrying into effect the provisions<br />

of this Act;<br />

WHEREAS it is necessary to regulate deliver<strong>ie</strong>s<br />

made to common carr<strong>ie</strong>rs by land, sea and air,<br />

for delivery of merchandise outside the Province<br />

of Quebec;<br />

WHEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, upon the recommendation<br />

of the Minister of Revenue:<br />

THAT the present regulation be adopted to<br />

take effect as from the date of its publication in<br />

the Official <strong>Gazette</strong>.<br />

Regulation number "3"<br />

Any vendor who delivers tangib<strong>le</strong> moveab<strong>le</strong><br />

objects to a common carr<strong>ie</strong>r by land, sea or air,<br />

authorized as such for delivery outside the Province<br />

of Quebec, is not required to col<strong>le</strong>ct the<br />

sa<strong>le</strong>s tax on these objects if he can exhibit a copy<br />

of the bill of lading certif<strong>ie</strong>d by the common<br />

carr<strong>ie</strong>r.<br />

Any vendor jvho delivers tangib<strong>le</strong> moveab<strong>le</strong><br />

objects outside the Province of Quebec, by mail,<br />

id not requireil to col<strong>le</strong>ct the sa<strong>le</strong>s tax on these<br />

objects if such vendor can exhibit a receipt from<br />

the Post Office Department identifying the<br />

purchaser and the sender and privided also that<br />

the vendor can satisfy the Department of Revenue<br />

as to the nature of the objects delivcre«l.<br />

THAT the present On<strong>le</strong>r in Council replace<br />

Order in Council number 2485, tlated Decerning<br />

29th, 1964.<br />
