In this paper, it is aimed to study how to compare renewable energies (wind, solar, etc.) and fossil fuel-based energies qualitatively by going beyond both the first-and the second-law of thermodynamics. In this regard, Prof H.T. O d u m, from the University of Florida, has introduced eMergy, meaning "Embodied Energy" to include the pathway of a present form of energy. D. S c i e n c e m a n also used eMergy to refer to the concept of energy memory. Nonrenewable fossil fuels (such as gasoline, natural gas, etc.) are mainly the result of thousand-year-old biomass decomposition. Then, in order to compare renewable and non-renewable energies, one needs utilize the same scale. Hence, eMergy takes its source. In this paper, the eMergy
