Abstract. A double use thermofrigopump vapour compression<br />

machine model is proposed in the present paper. This model is relative to<br />

steady state irreversible system, and takes account of finite size<br />

constraint through the heat transfer laws. Thermodynamical efficiencies<br />

of this system has been defined and compared. The corresponding<br />

optimization results are proposed.<br />

Abstract. In this work, we aim at studying the recovery of beef<br />

fat by the technique of pyrolysis to produce a biofuel for diesel<br />

engines. The goal is to monitor the performance and the acidity of the<br />

final liquid fuel (pyrolysis oil) and to identify the various noncondensable<br />

gases released.<br />
