PETER2, GILGEN1) was born September 29, 1907 in Dutch Mills, Washington County, Arkansas, and died January<br />

19, 1994 in Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas. She married WILLIAM BILL GIBSON VENABLE August<br />

22, 1937, son of JAMES VENABLE and VIRGINIA GIBSON. He was born July 26, 1915 in Summers, Washington<br />

County, Arkansas, and died July 09, 1989 in Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas.<br />

Anna Venable retired after teaching in 1969 after 31 years. Her Early education began at White Rock where she<br />

attended the 1st through 6th grades. Money was short along with the school terms. Anna started living with her Aunt<br />

Susie Robinson of Cincinnati and attended school there through the ninth grade. Her tenth year was spent with her<br />

Uncle Wilson Kimbrough in Springdale, Arkansas. Here Junior and senior years were spent at Lincoln School. The<br />

four senior in 1925 were Marion Joyce, Waldo Bain, Wesley Shannon and Anna. When she was 18 years old, she<br />

returned to White Rock (near the <strong>Luginbuel</strong> family home) to teach -- 1925 - 1926. During the summer, she had taken a<br />

teachers exam at the court house and received a teacher's certificate. The day she took the exa, she went ot Lincoln in<br />

a Model T Ford and rode the train to Fayetteville and returned home the same day. Some of her pupils at White Rock<br />

were Oren and Marie Glenn, and Mary Rice. She had gone to school with them four years earlier. She attended<br />

summer schools for several years. Later she when to John Brown School at Siloam Springs, Arkansas which was a<br />

two-year college where she received a Music and Education Certificate in 1931. She continued to attend summer<br />

schools at the University of Arkansas.<br />

MARY JUANITA GOFORTH 1977, daughter of JAMES GOFORTH and EFFIE WOODS.<br />

LUGINBYHL Carl C. Luginbyhl, 90, of Bethany, went peacefully to meet His Lord December 19, 2001. He was born<br />

July 31, 1911 in Stinnett, TX, to Oliver W. and Cleo Luginbyhl. Carl married Dorothy Brannon in 1937, who preceded<br />

him in death in 1975. He married Juanita Goforth Winfrey in 1977. Carl retired with Phillips Petroleum Co in 1963,<br />

retiring a second time with Pinkerton Security in 1970. He was a member of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene.<br />

He is survived by his wife, Juanita, two daughters: Mrs. Myra Schubert of Bethany, Mrs. Rosa McCroskey of<br />

Indonesia; three stepsons: Jim Winfrey of Topeka, Jerry Winfrey of Oklahoma City, David Winfrey of Bethany; one<br />

brother, Robert Ivan Luginbyhl of Borger, TX; one sister, Carolyn Glover of Tucson, AZ, four grandchildren, 7 stepgrandchildren,<br />

four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday, December 22 at<br />
