Frederick Luthy -- born 1851, at Canton Bern, Switzerland. With his parents at age 5, immigrated to the United States
and came to Fulton County, Ohio. In 1865 came to Richardson County, Nebraska and located south of Humboldt. He
became a United States Citizen in1873. In 1877 Frederick was married to Henrietta Luginbill, daughter of John and
Elizabeth (Welty) Luginbill of Humboldt.
The Luthys farmed in Speiser Precict of Richardson County, were named on of the Honor Families of the Soil and
Water Conservation District in 1972 and received the Nebraska Pioneer Farm Award -- 100 years in 1956. The land
continues to remain in the Luthy family -- Reece is the Great Grandson of the Late Frederick and Henrietta Luthy.

Julianna Elizabeth Lizzie Luginbill was the second daughter born to John and Elizabeth Welti Luginbill. She was born
in a log cabin March 20, 1862, almost 8 years after her parents established their home along the banks of the Four
Mile after leaving thier home in Andrew County, Missouri.
She received her education at a school near her home. She was baptized on was a member of the Four Mile Reformed
Church, which she attended faithfully throughout her life.
