Frederick Luthy -- born 1851, at Canton Bern, Switzerland. With his parents at age 5, immigrated to the United States<br />

and came to Fulton County, Ohio. In 1865 came to Richardson County, Nebraska and located south of Humboldt. He<br />

became a United States Citizen in1873. In 1877 Frederick was married to Henrietta Luginbill, daughter of John and<br />

Elizabeth (Welty) Luginbill of Humboldt.<br />

The Luthys farmed in Speiser Precict of Richardson County, were named on of the Honor Families of the Soil and<br />

Water Conservation District in 1972 and received the Nebraska Pioneer Farm Award -- 100 years in 1956. The land<br />

continues to remain in the Luthy family -- Reece is the Great Grandson of the Late Frederick and Henrietta Luthy.<br />

Julianna Elizabeth Lizzie Luginbill was the second daughter born to John and Elizabeth Welti Luginbill. She was born<br />

in a log cabin March 20, 1862, almost 8 years after her parents established their home along the banks of the Four<br />

Mile after leaving thier home in Andrew County, Missouri.<br />

She received her education at a school near her home. She was baptized on was a member of the Four Mile Reformed<br />

Church, which she attended faithfully throughout her life.<br />
