Mrs. Mae Dec <strong>Snodgrass</strong> (Summers). 46, of Summers,<br />

Arkansas died at a Fayetteville hospital today (18 July<br />

1972). She was born 14 January 1926 at Lincoln, the<br />

daughter of Homer Lawson and Ruby Murray <strong>Snodgrass</strong>.<br />

she was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Order<br />

of the Eastern Star.<br />

Survivors are the husband, Jack Summers of the home; two<br />

daughters, Connie Summers of the home and Mrs. Sue<br />

Claxton of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her parents of Lincoln; two<br />

sisters. Mrs. Mary Etta Wilhite of Lamirada, California and<br />

Mrs. Louise Howard ot, Downey, California and one<br />

brother. 1 lomer <strong>Snodgrass</strong> Jr. of Lincoln. Arkansas.<br />

Funeral service will be 2 p. m. Thursday at Lincoln<br />

Presbyterian Church with burial in Ganderville Cemetery,<br />

under direction of Luginbuel Funeral Horne.<br />

Document 10.29. Obituary for Thomas Lafayette I<br />

[ <strong>Snodgrass</strong>.<br />

Thomas Lafayette <strong>Snodgrass</strong>, age 74, died at 4 o'clock<br />

Tuesday afternoon (21 April 1942) at the home of his son,<br />

Samuel Denver <strong>Snodgrass</strong> with whom he had made his<br />

home the past seven months.<br />

Funeral services were to be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m.<br />

by Rev. J. Scott Blystone, pastor of the Baptist Church, with<br />

burial in Lincoln Cemetery.<br />

Thomas Lafayette <strong>Snodgrass</strong> was born at Sparta, White<br />

County, Tennessee, on 4 January 1863 and moved to<br />

Arkansas when he· was seven years old. He had lived in<br />

Lincoln and Summers, Arkansas since 1875. He was a<br />

member of the Baptist church. He was married on August<br />

27, 1885 to Miss John Dee Nunley.<br />

Surviving arc six daughters, four sons, one brother and five<br />

sisters, 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His<br />

children, all of whom had visited him during his illness are:<br />

Mrs. Mae Saunders, Drumwright, Oklahoma, Mrs. Bess<br />

Cheatham, and Mrs. Pearl Collins, Lodim. California, Mrs.<br />

Ray Rainwater, Sapula, Oklahoma, Mrs. Elsie Pasley,<br />

Summers, Arkansas; Mrs. Merle Leach, Denver <strong>Snodgrass</strong>,<br />

and Homer <strong>Snodgrass</strong>, of Lincoln, Arkansas; Claude<br />

<strong>Snodgrass</strong>, Vallejo, California; and Bruce <strong>Snodgrass</strong>,<br />

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. W. J. <strong>Snodgrass</strong> of Lincoln is<br />

his brother, and the sisters are Mrs. Grant l-largrove, Mrs.<br />

Lou Rauch, Mrs. L. B. Haws and Mrs. Anna Collins. all of<br />

Lincoln; and Mrs. Emma Davis of Klamath Falls, Oregon.<br />

Document 10.30. Obituary for Chester (Bob) Crockett I<br />

[ <strong>Snodgrass</strong>.<br />

Chester (Bob) Crockett <strong>Snodgrass</strong>, 63, of Lincoln, Arkansas<br />

died January 20, 1992 at his home. Chester was born in<br />

Lincoln to Chester Dec <strong>Snodgrass</strong> and Viola Pridemore<br />

<strong>Snodgrass</strong>. He attended the Sugar Hill Community Church<br />

and was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion.<br />

He served in the Merchant Marines in World War II and in<br />

the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.<br />

Ile was a life long resident of the Lincoln, Arkansas area. He<br />

was a farmer and a bulldozer operator; a son, Tommy Dean<br />

<strong>Snodgrass</strong>, preceded him in death in 1963.<br />

Survivors include his wife, Willna Joyce Denison<br />

<strong>Snodgrass</strong>; one son Chester Eugene· <strong>Snodgrass</strong> of Lincoln;<br />

three daughters, Reba Moore and Cathy Arreola. both of<br />

Lincoln. and Carol Fadis of Westville. Oklahoma; four<br />

brothers, Lonnie <strong>Snodgrass</strong> of Atwood, Kansas. L. E.<br />

<strong>Snodgrass</strong> Welling, Oklahoma. Roy <strong>Snodgrass</strong> and John<br />

<strong>Snodgrass</strong>, both of Lincoln, and eleven grandchildren.<br />

Services were held Jan 22 at the First Baptist Church m<br />

Lincoln with interment at the Lincoln Cemetery, under the<br />

direction of Luginbuel Funeral 1-lornes. Brother Terrell<br />

Gordon and Brother Ernest Meadows Presiding. Pallbearers<br />

were Butch Pridemore, Keith Baer, Don Carte, Gary Carte,<br />

Johnny Cheatham and Dean Cheatham.<br />

I Document 10.31. Obituary for Chester D. <strong>Snodgrass</strong>.<br />

Chester D. <strong>Snodgrass</strong>, 80, of Lincoln, died Friday, March<br />

16, 1979 at his home. Born Feb. 6, 1899, at Lincoln, the son<br />

of John and Ida Beaty <strong>Snodgrass</strong>, he was a farmer.<br />

Survivors are his w·ife, Mrs. Viola G. Prideffiore <strong>Snodgrass</strong><br />

of the home; five sons, Roy Earl, L. E., Bob and John, all of<br />

Lincoln, and Lonnie of Atwood, Kan.; one brother, Bert of<br />

Lincoln; two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Rich and Mrs. Della<br />

Cheatham. both of Lincoln; 12 grandchildren and eight<br />

great-grandchildren.<br />

Funeral was Monday at 2 p.m. at the Lincoln Baptist Church<br />

with blirial in Lincoln Ce1netery under the direction of<br />

Luginbuel Funeral Home.<br />

I Document 10.32. Obituary for Bert <strong>Snodgrass</strong>.<br />

Bert <strong>Snodgrass</strong>, 75 of Lincoln, Arkansas died February 15,<br />

1983 at a Fayetteville, Arkansas Hospital. Ile was born<br />

August 27, 1907 at Lincoln Arkansas the son of John<br />

<strong>Snodgrass</strong> and Ida Beaty <strong>Snodgrass</strong>. He was a retired farmer<br />

and a member of the Baptist Church.<br />

Survivors include his wife, Eva Ree Carter <strong>Snodgrass</strong> of the<br />

home; one son Paul <strong>Snodgrass</strong> of the home; two daughters,<br />

Mrs. Eva Marie Stickler and Mrs. Linda Swearingen, both of<br />

Lincoln; one sister. Mrs. Eunice Rich of Lincoln; three<br />

grandchildren.<br />

Services were Feb. 17 at the First Baptist Church in Lincoln<br />

with burial in the-Lincoln Cemetery under the direction of<br />

Luginbuel Funeral Home, Prairie Grove, Arkansas.<br />
