Battle of the Nations In and around Leipzig, October 2013 will be a time of commemoration, celebration and participation. The occasion is a double anniversary: in the autumn of 1813, the German Campaign of the Napoleonic Wars reached its climax with the Battle of the Nations, which took place on the outskirts of the city.
