Some of Wagner’s most important works will be performed at the
Leipzig Opera during the festival to celebrate the bicentenary of his
birth. The Richard Wagner Festival takes place from 16 to 26 May
2013. The Gewandhaus is also celebrating the anniversary with two
special concerts on 16 and 17 May 2013. Lose yourself in Wagner’s
world of fantasy and myths, and enjoy the unique atmosphere here in
the city of his birth. The “Weinstock” restaurant will be marking the
occasion with its very own special Wagner menu.
