In 2005, Mr. <strong>Koch</strong> received a presidential appointment to the National Cancer Advisory Board of the<br />
National Cancer Institute, serving until March 2010 when his term expired.<br />
Mr. <strong>Koch</strong> has received numerous awards including the 2013 Intrepid Salute Award from the Intrepid<br />
Sea, Air & Space Museum and the Humanitarian Award from the American Apparel & Footwear<br />
Association in 2011. He has been recognized by The New York Academy of Medicine for his support of<br />
biomedical research, healthcare and education (2004). His corporate leadership has been honored by:<br />
the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory's Double Helix award (2007), Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer<br />
Center's Excellence in Corporate Leadership award (2005) and the prestigious Corporate Citizenship<br />
Award from the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars (2004). Other recognition includes<br />
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Bronze Beaver Award (2008), Deerfield Medal of the<br />
Deerfield Academy (2003), Hospital for Special Surgery’s Philanthropy Award (2009), and Americans<br />
for Prosperity Foundation’s George Washington Award for Principled Leadership (2007).<br />
Mr. <strong>Koch</strong> serves on the boards of the Cato Institute, Reason Foundation and Americans for Prosperity<br />
Foundation, organizations focused on applying free market principles to enhance peace, prosperity and<br />
social progress.<br />
