Terms and Conditions
Organiser: Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd (SMTSB)
1. The Shell Rimula “Win A Trip To France And See The Fastest Trucks In Europe With Shell Rimula”
contest („Contest’) is a consumer contest.
2. This Contest is open to Malaysian Residents, 21 years old and above („Eligible Participants‟), with
the exception of the following:
a. Permanent and/or contract employees („Employees’) of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn. Bhd.
(„SMTSB‟) and its subsidiaries and related companies, and their immediate family members
i.e. spouses, children, parents, brother and sisters („immediate family members‟).
b. Service Providers engaged by SMTSB (e.g. advertising agencies, promotions agencies,
printing company and event management agencies) and their employees and immediate
family members.
c. Dealers or distributors of SMTSB products (i.e. Shell Petrol Station Retailers and
dealers/distributors of any Shell products and their Employees and their Employee‟s
immediate family members).
3. All disputes shall be resolved at the sole discretion of SMTSB. SMTSB‟s decision shall be final and
no correspondence or appeals shall be entertained.
4. SMTSB reserves the right at its absolute discretion to vary, delete or add to any of these Terms
and Conditions without prior notice.
5. These Terms and Conditions, may be amended from time to time pursuant to clause 4 above,
shall prevail over any provisions or representations contained in any other promotional material
advertising this Contest.
6. In the event of any inconsistencies, conflicts, ambiguity or discrepancies between the English,
Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese version of these Term and Conditions, the English version shall
prevail.
7. By submitting the contest forms, the Eligible Participant is deemed to have agreed to
i. Participating in the Contest;
ii. Be bound by the Terms and Conditions herein, including the decisions of SMTSB concerning
this Contest; and
iii. SMTSB and its agencies publishing/displaying his/her name, identification number, city of
residence, quotes and/or photographs for purposes of publicity, advertising and/or trade
without further notice or compensation.
iv. SMTSB, its subsidiaries or related companies using the personal or contact details of the
participant for direct marketing purpose as SMTSB, its subsidiaries or related companies
deems fit, without further notice or compensation.
8. SMTSB reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend this Contest without prior notice. For the
avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination or suspension by SMTSB of this Contest shall not

entitle any party to any claim or compensation against SMTSB for any and all losses or damage
suffered or incurred by Shell customers as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation,
termination or suspension.
9. In no event will SMTSB be liable for any loss or damages including without limitations, loss of
income, profits or goodwill, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or
special damages of any party including third parties howsoever arising whether in contract, tort,
negligence or otherwise, in connection with this Contest, even if SMTSB has been advised of the
possibility of such damages in advance, and all such damages are expressly excluded.
10. The Contest Period is from 1 st June 2012 to 31 st August 2012 (11:59 PM, GMT +8).
11. Proof of purchase as follows is required in the form of a receipt dated during the contest period:
a. Minimum one Pail (20 litres) of Shell Rimula R4 is eligible for one (1) entry.
b. Minimum one Pail (20 litres) of Shell Rimula R6 is eligible for five (5) entries.
c. Minimum one Drum (209 litres) of Shell Rimula R4 is eligible for ten (10) entries.
d. Minimum one Drum (209 litres) of Shell Rimula R5 is eligible for fifteen (15) entries.
e. Minimum one Drum (209 litres) of Shell Rimula R6 is eligible for twenty (20) entries.
f. Proof of purchase of multiple eligible Shell Rimula products that meet the minimum litres
required in a single receipt is eligible for entry.
g. Pre-paid sales receipts do not qualify as a valid receipt.
12. Original contest forms can be found at participating Shell Rimula workshops. Photocopies of the
contest form are allowed and the form can also be printed from
www.shell.com.my/rimulacontest.
13. All completed contest forms must be submitted by 31 st August 2012 (11.59 PM, GMT +8) by mail
to Suite #302, P05A Empire Shopping Gallery, Jalan SS16/1, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor.
14. To be in the running to win, participants are required to answer a question on the Contest form
on the new Shell Rimula tagline. The answer needs to be recorded in the Contest form in the
appropriate space provided.
15. Eligible participants can submit as many entries as they wish within the Contest Period. However,
each entry form needs to be accompanied with the required proof of purchase.
16. Only entries with the correct answer as per clause 14 above are eligible. In the event the number
of entries with the correct answer exceeds the number of slots open, participants will be selected
in a random draw from among all such entries with the correct answer.
17. Winning Participants will be notified 14 days after the end of the Contest Period via telephone
call and mail. Details of venue, dates and times for prize collection shall be informed via
telephone call and published on Shell Malaysia‟s website (www.shell.com.my/rimulacontest).
SMTSB does NOT use text messages to communicate to winners.
18. SMTSB Support Team shall make two attempts to call winners via the telephone number provided
on the contest form fourteen (14) days after the end of the Contest Period. Winner‟s
announcement will be published on www.shell.com.my/rimulacontest.

19. In the event that the winners of the Contest are not contactable within eighteen (18) days after the
end of the Contest Period, SMTSB reserves the right to select the next eligible participant/s as the
successful Contest winner.
20. The Prizes are:
10 x “All Expense VIP Trip to France and watch the FIA European Truck Racing Championship”
21. Each qualified entry received from 1 st June 2012 to 31 st August 2012 (11:59 PM, GMT +8) will
be given a serial number. The 10 x Grand Prize winners will be determined by dividing the total
serial numbers that were received by 10. All winning serial numbers will be the closest, lowest
whole number that results after the stated division.
Example: If there are 9,654 serial numbers received, the total serial numbers received will be
divided by 10: 9654 divided by 10 = 965.4. Therefore, 10 x Grand Prizes will be won by
the entries with serial numbers 965, 1930, 2895, 3860, 4825, 5790, 6755, 7720, 8685,
9650.
22. The 10 x Grand Prize Winners from will have the first rights to refuse the “10 x All Expense VIP
Trip to France and watch the FIA European Truck Racing Championship” in October 2012.
23. If any of the successful winners refuse or are unable to attend the 10 x “All Expense VIP Trip to
France and watch the FIA European Truck Racing Championship” with a confirmation via a
signed acknowledgement, their place will be offered to the subsequent successful participant.
24. The Grand Prize winner/s shall be disqualified if he/she is:
i. Denied entry to France for any reason.
ii. Not allowed to leave Malaysia for any reason.
iii. Unable to attend the trip on the date/s offered.
25. Each Grand Prize “All Expense VIP Trip to France and watch the FIA European Truck Racing
Championship” includes the following*:
i. Hotel accommodation for (1) pax
ii. 1 return Economy flight ticket from KLIA, Malaysia to a designated airport in France which
shall be determined by SMTSB
iii. Airport and Hotel transfer (only in France)
iv. Selected meals
v. All other events in the official agenda in France
* Detailed terms to be finalised prior to departure date
26. The Grand Prize does not include passport/visa charges, transport charges from the winner‟s
homes in Malaysia to the airport (KLIA, Sepang), transport charges from the airport (KLIA,
Sepang) to the winner‟s home in Malaysia and out of pocket expenses.
27. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash or any other products. However, SMTSB
reserves the right to offer alternatives at any time without prior notice at its sole discretion.
