Communication processor CP 343-1 BACnet
The communications processor CP 343-1 BACnet for the SIMATIC S7 300
automation station allows a cross-electrical and mechanical installation for building
automation and control as well as process automation.
For example, you can use SIMATIC S7 automation stations and DESIGO PX
automation stations at the same time in plants and buildings. The communications
processor communicates with DESIGO INSIGHT via BACnet/IP. It can also directly
exchange data peer-to-peer between DESIGO PX and SIMATIC S7.
The field level - SIMATIC ET 200 S
In conjunction with SIMATIC S7, digital and analog inputs and outputs can be
linked to the central control system via the PROFINET or PROFIBUS DP field bus
system.
The peripheral devices can perform central control sub-functions independently.
Sections of the plant can be tested and commissioned in advance. In the event of
an error, standalone elements can continue to operate autonomously .
The distributed peripheral devices in the SIMATIC range come in different sizes,
with different forms and protection classes, and optionally, even with a freely
programmable CPU. ET 200S is particularly suitable for building automation and
control tasks.
Bottom line: Less wiring is required, and the plant is significantly more flexible and
reliable.
The extensive range of modules and the uniform approach, throughout the system,
to engineering, mounting and programming mean that ET 200S can be used as a
universal peripheral device system. The peripheral-device modules can be
combined as required.
Local operation and monitoring
The SIMATIC TP177B touch panel operator unit is used for local operation and
monitoring of the SIMATIC S7 automation stations. It provides access to all data
points and the associated parameters (e.g. messages and switch commands) in all
plants. Normally the unit is built into the control panel door.
The SIMATIC TP177B operator unit enables the user to locate faults, operate and
optimize the operation of plant and equipment such as heating coils and fans, and
modify switch times.
