Communication processor CP 343-1 BACnet<br />
The communications processor CP 343-1 BACnet for the SIMATIC S7 300<br />
<strong>automation</strong> station allows a cross-electrical and mechanical installation for <strong>building</strong><br />
<strong>automation</strong> and control as well as process <strong>automation</strong>.<br />
For example, you can use SIMATIC S7 <strong>automation</strong> stations and <strong>DESIGO</strong> PX<br />
<strong>automation</strong> stations at the same time in plants and <strong>building</strong>s. The communications<br />
processor communicates with <strong>DESIGO</strong> INSIGHT via BACnet/IP. It can also directly<br />
exchange data peer-to-peer between <strong>DESIGO</strong> PX and SIMATIC S7.<br />
The field level - SIMATIC ET 200 S<br />
In conjunction with SIMATIC S7, digital and analog inputs and outputs can be<br />
linked to the central control <strong>system</strong> via the PROFINET or PROFIBUS DP field bus<br />
<strong>system</strong>.<br />
The peripheral devices can perform central control sub-functions independently.<br />
Sections of the plant can be tested and commissioned in advance. In the event of<br />
an error, standalone elements can continue to operate autonomously .<br />
The distributed peripheral devices in the SIMATIC range come in different sizes,<br />
with different forms and protection classes, and optionally, even with a freely<br />
programmable CPU. ET 200S is particularly suitable for <strong>building</strong> <strong>automation</strong> and<br />
control tasks.<br />
Bottom line: Less wiring is required, and the plant is significantly more flexible and<br />
reliable.<br />
The extensive range of modules and the uniform approach, throughout the <strong>system</strong>,<br />
to engineering, mounting and programming mean that ET 200S can be used as a<br />
universal peripheral device <strong>system</strong>. The peripheral-device modules can be<br />
combined as required.<br />
Local operation and monitoring<br />
The SIMATIC TP177B touch panel operator unit is used for local operation and<br />
monitoring of the SIMATIC S7 <strong>automation</strong> stations. It provides access to all data<br />
points and the associated parameters (e.g. messages and switch commands) in all<br />
plants. Normally the unit is built into the control panel door.<br />
The SIMATIC TP177B operator unit enables the user to locate faults, operate and<br />
optimize the operation of plant and equipment such as heating coils and fans, and<br />
modify switch times.<br />
