PX LON maps RXC applications in such a way as to produce a room view. This<br />
enables the rooms to be grouped together, for shared occupancy programs, or for<br />
shared commands for the control of lighting or blinds, for example.<br />
PX M-bus<br />
PX M-bus connects the M-bus consumption meters to the <strong>DESIGO</strong> <strong>system</strong> and<br />
maps meter readings and device-related meter information to BACnet data points.<br />
Main functions of PX M-bus<br />
• Consumption data acquisition and<br />
remote monitoring of a maximum of<br />
250 consumption and heat meters or<br />
up to 2,000 BACnet I/O objects.<br />
• Compresses data from consumption and heat<br />
meters at the <strong>automation</strong> level.<br />
• Alarm handling, device monitoring.<br />
• Trend storage to record meter readings.<br />
PX Modbus<br />
PX Modbus connects Modbus devices or networks supporting the Modbus protocol<br />
as specified by Modicon to the <strong>DESIGO</strong> <strong>system</strong> and maps their data points to<br />
BACnet data points. PX Modbus is particularly suitable for integrating industrial<br />
controls or chillers and linking them to the <strong>automation</strong> process.<br />
PX KNX<br />
PX KNX connects KNX S-mode (EIB) networks to <strong>DESIGO</strong> and maps KNX S-<br />
mode (EIB) group addresses to BACnet data points.<br />
Main functions of PX KNX<br />
• Compression of data from the <strong>DESIGO</strong> RXB<br />
room controllers and other KNX data points<br />
at the <strong>automation</strong> level.<br />
• Mapping of <strong>DESIGO</strong> RXB and RXL as well<br />
as SIEMENS Synco 700 and other KNX S-<br />
mode (EIB) applications to BACnet for<br />
operation and monitoring (grouped as HVAC,<br />
lighting and blind control functions).<br />
• Higher-level control and optimization<br />
functions, such as room and zone-based<br />
groups, time control, and <strong>system</strong> functions<br />
such as changeover, summer/winter<br />
compensation etc.<br />
• Alarm handling, device monitoring.<br />
• Trend storage.<br />
<strong>DESIGO</strong> TX OPEN<br />
A few, decentralized, distributed third-party devices can be connected quickly and<br />
cost effectively via <strong>DESIGO</strong> TX OPEN and processed in the <strong>automation</strong> <strong>system</strong>.<br />
The microprocessor-based OPEN modules connect selected third-party devices via<br />
RS232 or RS485 to the decentralized I/O bus of the <strong>automation</strong> station. Various<br />
module types can be used depending on the communications protocol.<br />
