AC DRIVES<br />
E-trAC ® EF1<br />
Microdrive<br />
TB Wood’s E-trAC ® EF1 Microdrive combines the<br />
small size and ease of use provided by our XFC &<br />
X2C series micro inverters with the latest chip and<br />
wire technology to create a high<br />
performance, simple to use<br />
product. Each EF1 delivers accurate,<br />
reliable motor control with<br />
many advanced features, including<br />
programmable customer I/O<br />
terminals, enhanced motor protection,<br />
dynamic braking, and<br />
high carrier frequencies. Models<br />
are available in a variety of operating<br />
voltages and in compact<br />
NEMA 1 / IP31 enclosures for international and<br />
domestic application compatibility. Initially available<br />
up to 5 HP in both 230 Vac and 460 Vac models, the<br />
EF1 is the perfect fit for applications that require<br />
the power of a “big” inverter in a small form factor.<br />
E-trAC ® WF2<br />
Sensorless Vector Drive<br />
TB Wood’s WF2 Sensorless Vector Drive provides<br />
high performance sensorless vector operation that<br />
allows 150% torque down to 0.5 Hz. The WF2 is<br />
designed for industrial applications and is available in<br />
NEMA 1 / IP31 and NEMA 12 / IP55 enclosures.<br />
“Plain English” programming allows simple configuration<br />
of the WF2 on a backlit 2 X 16<br />
LCD display.<br />
Designed for rugged constant torque<br />
applications, the WF2 is available in<br />
1 HP, 115 Vac (230 Vac output),<br />
1-30 HP at 200/230 Vac and<br />
1-75 HP at 380/460 Vac and 575 Vac.<br />
Variable torque ratings are also available<br />
to extend the capacity of most models. With<br />
Sensorless Vector Power, flexible I/O configuration,<br />
built-in MODBUS ® and optional DeviceNet ®<br />
communications, and a variety of enclosure options,<br />
the WF2 can be easily tailored to your most<br />
demanding applications.<br />
E-trAC ® WF2-NSF<br />
Sensorless Vector Drive<br />
As the newest member of the E-trAC ® WF2 family,<br />
TB Wood’s NSF is designed for rugged applications<br />
like yours! Continuing TB Wood’s heritage of innovative<br />
packaging, the WF2-NSF sets<br />
the new standard in wash-down<br />
drives.The WF2-NSF is certified by<br />
the National Sanitation Foundation<br />
and is compliant with the Baking<br />
Industry Sanitation Standards<br />
Committee (BISSC). With these<br />
certifications, the WF2-NSF meets<br />
the FDA’s stringent requirements for use in the<br />
Food Area Splash Zone.<br />
Designed for rugged constant torque applications,<br />
the WF2-NSF is available in 1 HP, 115 Vac (230 Vac<br />
output), 1-15 HP at 200/230 Vac and 1-20 HP at<br />
380/460 Vac & 575 Vac. Variable torque ratings are<br />
also available to extend the capacity of most models.<br />

that TB Wood’s is once again raising the bar on the<br />
competition.<br />
E-trAC ® UVC<br />
Universal Vector Control<br />
The TB Wood’s UVC inverter is the most flexible<br />
and highest performance drive in the E-trAC ® family.<br />
The power of the UVC includes operational modes<br />
for general purpose Volts Per Hertz<br />
operation, speed or torque control<br />
with NFO Sensorless Vector, Flux<br />
Vector and Brushless AC Servo.<br />
Application specific software such as<br />
electronic gearbox with positioning<br />
for supervisory drive systems, crane<br />
control, dancer arm control and tension<br />
winder applications are standard.<br />
The UVC allows for easy installation<br />
into existing applications with a compact<br />
metal IP20 enclosure. Special packaging in<br />
NEMA 4 / 12 cabinets is available. Models range<br />
from 2 to 400 HP and operate from 380 to 460 Vac.
SOFT START CONTROLS<br />
S-trAC ®<br />
Soft Start Controllers<br />
TB Wood’s S-trAC ® EST is a microprocessor<br />
controlled soft start, which provides optimal<br />
start control for your system. Additionally, the<br />
EST supports PLC compatible<br />
digital and analog I/O for direct<br />
interface with many automation<br />
systems.<br />
The EST is a true soft starter<br />
providing both soft start control<br />
of the system as well as<br />
overload protection for the AC<br />
motor. Through the use of the<br />
built-in keypad, parameters may<br />
be set which match the EST<br />
correctly to your motor. The keypad can also be<br />
used in a metering mode to display motor current,<br />
motor current imbalance and motor<br />
thermal overload state.<br />
The EST has standard configurations that<br />
include, NEMA 1 and NEMA 12 enclosures,<br />
voltages from 208 Vac to 575 Vac and up to<br />
125 HP @ 575 Vac. Custom configurations are<br />
available through 1,250 HP.<br />
Utilizing solid state technology and closed-loop<br />
motor current feedback, the EST provides a very<br />
reliable design and smooth starts.<br />
ELECTRONIC MOTOR BRAKES<br />
Ambi-Tech <strong>Electronic</strong><br />
TB Wood’s line of Ambi-Tech Short-Stop <br />
electronic motor brakes provide highperformance<br />
braking for most applications<br />
while eliminating the costs associated with the<br />
adjustment and maintenance of mechanical<br />
brakes. Requiring no<br />
mechanical connection to<br />
the motor, Short-Stop<br />
brakes create a stationary<br />
magnetic field within the<br />
motor, minimizing<br />
costly downtime, increasing<br />
productivity and creating a safer environment.<br />
Short-Stop brakes are available with a wide<br />
variety of options to accommodate the most<br />
demanding applications. General purpose models<br />
feature standard 15-second braking times and<br />
range in size from 1 to 700 HP while solid-state<br />
models for high duty cycle applications are available<br />
in sizes up to 350 HP. All Short-Stop brakes<br />
feature basic electrical hook-ups for easy installation<br />
and adjustable braking torque for<br />
increased application flexibility. Other electronic<br />
brakes — including our Braketron ® , Chipper-<br />
Stopper , Fan-Stop and Star-Brake — are<br />
available for more specialized needs.<br />

Ultracon II ®<br />
and E-Trol ® +PLUS<br />
The Ultracon II ® is the off-theshelf<br />
solution to accurate control<br />
of speed and torque of 1/6<br />
through 5 HP DC motors.<br />
Pushbutton switches, which can<br />
be locally or remotely mounted,<br />
control starting/stopping,<br />
reversing, manual/automatic<br />
modes, and jogging.The isolated<br />
control circuits can be operated by an external<br />
signal of the process-control system.<br />
The E-Trol ® +PLUS control is an economical<br />
extension of the Ultracon II ® line for applications<br />
up to 1.5 HP motor current calibration is<br />
as easy as setting a switch, rather than changing<br />
plug-in resistors or replacing components.<br />
Capable of handling both permanent-magnet<br />
and shunt-wound motors, the E-Trol ® +PLUS<br />
offers line fusing, MOVs, and snubbers for builtin<br />
reliability.<br />

E-trAC ® IMD<br />
Integrated Motor Drive<br />
TB Wood’s E-trAC ® IMD delivers superior<br />
performance over individual inverter/motor<br />
combinations by integrating<br />
them into a single<br />
package. A round inverter<br />
design, featuring the<br />
high performance and<br />
small size of Wood’s X2C<br />
family of AC inverters, fits<br />
entirely within the motor frame resulting in<br />
shorter motor lead lengths, reduction in excessive<br />
heat loads, and ease of drive installation and<br />
replacement.The IMD’s rugged design encapsulates<br />
the inverter assembly, preventing vibration<br />
damage, and an integrated fan on the inverter<br />
delivers constant cooling for the electronics.<br />
The IMD Series is available in a variety of sizes<br />
from 56C frame (1 HP) to 184TC frame<br />
(5 HP) in both 230 Vac and 460 Vac models.<br />
DC MOTORS<br />
Ultracon II ®<br />
DC Motors<br />
TB Wood’s Ultracon II ® DC Motors are<br />
available in either permanent-magnet or shuntwound<br />
configurations, and provide a<br />
combination of exceptional starting torque and<br />
unmatched reliability.<br />
Models are available in<br />
various NEMA frame<br />
enclosures and horsepower<br />
ratings (up to 5 HP), and<br />
come equipped with either<br />
a rigid or bolt-on base for<br />
mounting flexibility. Shuntwound<br />
motors offer Class F insulation, a 20:1<br />
constant torque speed range, with NEMA 184<br />
and larger motors sporting a thermostat on the<br />
field winding for enhanced heat protection.
AC DRIVES<br />
E-trAC ® WFC HT<br />
High Torque Inverter<br />
The WFCHT High Torque Inverter is the smallest<br />
full featured NEMA 4 enclosed inverter in<br />
the industry, and offers smooth low-end torque<br />
and quiet operation.The WFCHT<br />
features sensorless vector power<br />
technology that provides “DC-like”<br />
control while delivering 150%<br />
torque at a minimum of 2 Hz.<br />
Available in several versions,<br />
including up to 1 HP at 115 Vac,<br />
3/4 to 25 HP at 200/230 Vac and<br />
1 to 75 HP at 380/460 Vac for<br />
constant torque applications, and<br />
up to 100 HP for variable torque<br />
loads, the WFCHT AC Inverter can satisfy<br />
numerous application requirements. Over 100<br />
control parameters are available, along with a<br />
program sequencer that eliminates the need for<br />
a PLC in many applications.<br />
E-trAC ® XFC<br />
Micro Inverter<br />
The XFC Micro Inverter is a compact and<br />
economical solution that offers “big inverter”<br />
features and capabilities, including standard<br />
dynamic braking, 4-quadrant<br />
torque limit and auto-boost for<br />
starting tough loads — all within<br />
a space-saving footprint. Designed<br />
to handle the most unique jobs,<br />
the XFC Series offers NEMA 1,<br />
NEMA 4 and Chassis enclosures,<br />
over 50 parameters, hand-held<br />
programmers, and numerous remote keypad<br />
options. For the utmost in flexibility, XFC Micro<br />
Inverters are available in numerous versions<br />
including 1/2 to 5 HP at 208/230 Vac, 1 to 5 HP<br />
at 400/460 Vac, and 1/2 to 1 HP at 115 Vac.<br />
E-trAC ® X2C<br />
AC Inverter<br />
With the X2C AC Inverters,TB Wood’s has<br />
combined the small size of the XFC Series<br />
micro inverters with the high performance<br />
of the WFCHT Series AC<br />
Inverters. X2C Series inverters are<br />
available in Chassis and NEMA 1<br />
industrial enclosures, with up to<br />
1 HP at 115 Vac, 1/2 to 20 HP at<br />
200/230 Vac and 1 to 20 HP at<br />
380/460 Vac. Each model delivers<br />
accurate, reliable motor control with advanced<br />
features, including over 54 control parameters,<br />
enhanced motor protection, dynamic braking,<br />
high carrier frequencies up to 16 kHz and<br />
smooth torque control down to 3 Hz.<br />
E-trAC ® DVC<br />
Digital Vector Inverter<br />
The E-trAC ® DVC Vector Inverter is TB Wood’s<br />
high horsepower motor control, providing the<br />
programming power and horsepower range to<br />
handle your toughest applications.<br />
Wrapped within a NEMA 1 / IP21,<br />
NEMA 12 / IP54, Chassis / IP00 or<br />
IP20 enclosure, the DVC Series features<br />
a fully-programmable memory<br />
with seven pre-written application<br />
blocks for quick selection of common<br />
programming tasks. A graphical interface<br />
keypad combined with<br />
programmable terminals and over<br />
200 control parameters make the<br />
DVC Series the right choice for precise control.<br />
DVC models available from 30 to 75 HP at<br />
230 Vac, 100 to 650 HP at 380 Vac and 460 Vac,<br />
and 60–300 HP at 575 Vac for constant torque<br />
applications.Variable torque ratings also available.<br />
