E-trAC ® EF1
Microdrive
TB Wood’s E-trAC ® EF1 Microdrive combines the
small size and ease of use provided by our XFC &
X2C series micro inverters with the latest chip and
wire technology to create a high
performance, simple to use
product. Each EF1 delivers accurate,
reliable motor control with
many advanced features, including
programmable customer I/O
terminals, enhanced motor protection,
dynamic braking, and
high carrier frequencies. Models
are available in a variety of operating
voltages and in compact
NEMA 1 / IP31 enclosures for international and
domestic application compatibility. Initially available
up to 5 HP in both 230 Vac and 460 Vac models, the
EF1 is the perfect fit for applications that require
the power of a “big” inverter in a small form factor.
E-trAC ® WF2
Sensorless Vector Drive
TB Wood’s WF2 Sensorless Vector Drive provides
high performance sensorless vector operation that
allows 150% torque down to 0.5 Hz. The WF2 is
designed for industrial applications and is available in
NEMA 1 / IP31 and NEMA 12 / IP55 enclosures.
“Plain English” programming allows simple configuration
of the WF2 on a backlit 2 X 16
LCD display.
Designed for rugged constant torque
applications, the WF2 is available in
1 HP, 115 Vac (230 Vac output),
1-30 HP at 200/230 Vac and
1-75 HP at 380/460 Vac and 575 Vac.
Variable torque ratings are also available
to extend the capacity of most models. With
Sensorless Vector Power, flexible I/O configuration,
built-in MODBUS ® and optional DeviceNet ®
communications, and a variety of enclosure options,
the WF2 can be easily tailored to your most
demanding applications.
E-trAC ® WF2-NSF
Sensorless Vector Drive
As the newest member of the E-trAC ® WF2 family,
TB Wood’s NSF is designed for rugged applications
like yours! Continuing TB Wood’s heritage of innovative
packaging, the WF2-NSF sets
the new standard in wash-down
drives.The WF2-NSF is certified by
the National Sanitation Foundation
and is compliant with the Baking
Industry Sanitation Standards
Committee (BISSC). With these
certifications, the WF2-NSF meets
the FDA’s stringent requirements for use in the
Food Area Splash Zone.
Designed for rugged constant torque applications,
the WF2-NSF is available in 1 HP, 115 Vac (230 Vac
output), 1-15 HP at 200/230 Vac and 1-20 HP at
380/460 Vac & 575 Vac. Variable torque ratings are
also available to extend the capacity of most models.
Combining durability and cleanability means
that TB Wood’s is once again raising the bar on the
competition.
E-trAC ® UVC
Universal Vector Control
The TB Wood’s UVC inverter is the most flexible
and highest performance drive in the E-trAC ® family.
The power of the UVC includes operational modes
for general purpose Volts Per Hertz
operation, speed or torque control
with NFO Sensorless Vector, Flux
Vector and Brushless AC Servo.
Application specific software such as
electronic gearbox with positioning
for supervisory drive systems, crane
control, dancer arm control and tension
winder applications are standard.
The UVC allows for easy installation
into existing applications with a compact
metal IP20 enclosure. Special packaging in
NEMA 4 / 12 cabinets is available. Models range
from 2 to 400 HP and operate from 380 to 460 Vac.

SOFT START CONTROLS
S-trAC ®
Soft Start Controllers
TB Wood’s S-trAC ® EST is a microprocessor
controlled soft start, which provides optimal
start control for your system. Additionally, the
EST supports PLC compatible
digital and analog I/O for direct
interface with many automation
systems.
The EST is a true soft starter
providing both soft start control
of the system as well as
overload protection for the AC
motor. Through the use of the
built-in keypad, parameters may
be set which match the EST
correctly to your motor. The keypad can also be
used in a metering mode to display motor current,
motor current imbalance and motor
thermal overload state.
The EST has standard configurations that
include, NEMA 1 and NEMA 12 enclosures,
voltages from 208 Vac to 575 Vac and up to
125 HP @ 575 Vac. Custom configurations are
available through 1,250 HP.
Utilizing solid state technology and closed-loop
motor current feedback, the EST provides a very
reliable design and smooth starts.
ELECTRONIC MOTOR BRAKES
Ambi-Tech Electronic
TB Wood’s line of Ambi-Tech Short-Stop
electronic motor brakes provide highperformance
braking for most applications
while eliminating the costs associated with the
adjustment and maintenance of mechanical
brakes. Requiring no
mechanical connection to
the motor, Short-Stop
brakes create a stationary
magnetic field within the
motor, minimizing
costly downtime, increasing
productivity and creating a safer environment.
Short-Stop brakes are available with a wide
variety of options to accommodate the most
demanding applications. General purpose models
feature standard 15-second braking times and
range in size from 1 to 700 HP while solid-state
models for high duty cycle applications are available
in sizes up to 350 HP. All Short-Stop brakes
feature basic electrical hook-ups for easy installation
and adjustable braking torque for
increased application flexibility. Other electronic
brakes — including our Braketron ® , Chipper-
Stopper , Fan-Stop and Star-Brake — are
available for more specialized needs.

DC CONTROLS
Ultracon II ®
and E-Trol ® +PLUS
The Ultracon II ® is the off-theshelf
solution to accurate control
of speed and torque of 1/6
through 5 HP DC motors.
Pushbutton switches, which can
be locally or remotely mounted,
control starting/stopping,
reversing, manual/automatic
modes, and jogging.The isolated
control circuits can be operated by an external
signal of the process-control system.
The E-Trol ® +PLUS control is an economical
extension of the Ultracon II ® line for applications
up to 1.5 HP motor current calibration is
as easy as setting a switch, rather than changing
plug-in resistors or replacing components.
Capable of handling both permanent-magnet
and shunt-wound motors, the E-Trol ® +PLUS
offers line fusing, MOVs, and snubbers for builtin
reliability.

E-trAC ® IMD
Integrated Motor Drive
TB Wood’s E-trAC ® IMD delivers superior
performance over individual inverter/motor
combinations by integrating
them into a single
package. A round inverter
design, featuring the
high performance and
small size of Wood’s X2C
family of AC inverters, fits
entirely within the motor frame resulting in
shorter motor lead lengths, reduction in excessive
heat loads, and ease of drive installation and
replacement.The IMD’s rugged design encapsulates
the inverter assembly, preventing vibration
damage, and an integrated fan on the inverter
delivers constant cooling for the electronics.
The IMD Series is available in a variety of sizes
from 56C frame (1 HP) to 184TC frame
(5 HP) in both 230 Vac and 460 Vac models.
DC MOTORS
Ultracon II ®
DC Motors
TB Wood’s Ultracon II ® DC Motors are
available in either permanent-magnet or shuntwound
configurations, and provide a
combination of exceptional starting torque and
unmatched reliability.
Models are available in
various NEMA frame
enclosures and horsepower
ratings (up to 5 HP), and
come equipped with either
a rigid or bolt-on base for
mounting flexibility. Shuntwound
motors offer Class F insulation, a 20:1
constant torque speed range, with NEMA 184
and larger motors sporting a thermostat on the
field winding for enhanced heat protection.

E-trAC ® WFC HT
High Torque Inverter
The WFCHT High Torque Inverter is the smallest
full featured NEMA 4 enclosed inverter in
the industry, and offers smooth low-end torque
and quiet operation.The WFCHT
features sensorless vector power
technology that provides “DC-like”
control while delivering 150%
torque at a minimum of 2 Hz.
Available in several versions,
including up to 1 HP at 115 Vac,
3/4 to 25 HP at 200/230 Vac and
1 to 75 HP at 380/460 Vac for
constant torque applications, and
up to 100 HP for variable torque
loads, the WFCHT AC Inverter can satisfy
numerous application requirements. Over 100
control parameters are available, along with a
program sequencer that eliminates the need for
a PLC in many applications.
E-trAC ® XFC
Micro Inverter
The XFC Micro Inverter is a compact and
economical solution that offers “big inverter”
features and capabilities, including standard
dynamic braking, 4-quadrant
torque limit and auto-boost for
starting tough loads — all within
a space-saving footprint. Designed
to handle the most unique jobs,
the XFC Series offers NEMA 1,
NEMA 4 and Chassis enclosures,
over 50 parameters, hand-held
programmers, and numerous remote keypad
options. For the utmost in flexibility, XFC Micro
Inverters are available in numerous versions
including 1/2 to 5 HP at 208/230 Vac, 1 to 5 HP
at 400/460 Vac, and 1/2 to 1 HP at 115 Vac.
E-trAC ® X2C
AC Inverter
With the X2C AC Inverters,TB Wood’s has
combined the small size of the XFC Series
micro inverters with the high performance
of the WFCHT Series AC
Inverters. X2C Series inverters are
available in Chassis and NEMA 1
industrial enclosures, with up to
1 HP at 115 Vac, 1/2 to 20 HP at
200/230 Vac and 1 to 20 HP at
380/460 Vac. Each model delivers
accurate, reliable motor control with advanced
features, including over 54 control parameters,
enhanced motor protection, dynamic braking,
high carrier frequencies up to 16 kHz and
smooth torque control down to 3 Hz.
E-trAC ® DVC
Digital Vector Inverter
The E-trAC ® DVC Vector Inverter is TB Wood’s
high horsepower motor control, providing the
programming power and horsepower range to
handle your toughest applications.
Wrapped within a NEMA 1 / IP21,
NEMA 12 / IP54, Chassis / IP00 or
IP20 enclosure, the DVC Series features
a fully-programmable memory
with seven pre-written application
blocks for quick selection of common
programming tasks. A graphical interface
keypad combined with
programmable terminals and over
200 control parameters make the
DVC Series the right choice for precise control.
DVC models available from 30 to 75 HP at
230 Vac, 100 to 650 HP at 380 Vac and 460 Vac,
and 60–300 HP at 575 Vac for constant torque
applications.Variable torque ratings also available.
