Matric Prize-Giving 2013<br />
SBS Matrics of 2013 had their final academic prize-giving on Friday 18th<br />
October.<br />
The Guest of Honour for the ceremony was Dr Mario Rankin, who is a<br />
former Headboy at SBS.<br />
Dr Rankin shared with the audience his wonderful experiences at the school and his address to the<br />
Matric Class of 2013 was truly inspiring not only for them, but to all those that were present.<br />
Our Grade 12 learners were awarded subject prizes for their hard work throughout the year.

The award of Proxime Accessit was shared this year between<br />
Shalia Perumal and Zamavezi Kweyama.<br />
The Fellowship Award for 2013 was awarded<br />
to Christen-Jane Dunn.<br />
Amica Muller-Nedebock was named as the Dux for 2013.<br />
Amica was also awarded subject prizes for Geography, Life Science,<br />
Life Orientation, English and Afrikaans.

The event concluded with the awarding of the Leadership Award<br />
and the announcement of the Prefects for 2014, namely:<br />
Snenhlanhla Dlamini, Claire Young, Savannah Simmons,<br />
Mhlengi Mjiyako, Jason Renou, Nosihle Msomi,<br />
Marguerite <strong>St</strong>rydom, Phumelele Mbambo, Deolan Moodley,<br />
Sinenhlanhla Mzizi, Lyle Gaines, Teneal Bernard,<br />
Jessica Charls, Romir Govender.<br />
The Leadership Award for 2013<br />
was awarded to our Head Prefect,<br />
Philadi September.
