Nick’s Notes
Unfortunately our fantastic run came to an end on Tuesday evening at home to
Dorking. There was little between the two teams in my opinion and the game
could have gone either way. A draw would have been a fair result but we didn’t
take our chances when we were on top and so paid the consequences.
Dorking are tipped to be pushing Folkestone for the league title this year and so
for us to be matching them means we are not far away from being a side that
can compete with the top 10 and with a little bit of luck a playoff place come the
end of the season and this is a target we as a team we believe we can achieve.
Our attentions now turn to the FA cup and what will be a really tough game
against Hoddesdon and the potential of progressing to the third qualifying round
and prize fund of £4500. We will approach the game as we do any another and
have given Hoddesdon the utmost respect as they deserve.
Keep getting behind the lads
