MAIN PURPOSE OF THE<br />
<strong>JOB</strong><br />
To mobilize communities in order to develop functional and well running<br />
cooperatives in identified sectors at provincial level.<br />
To identify capacity building interventions that are required to enable<br />
cooperatives to succeed in their ventures<br />
To build strong primary and secondary cooperatives at local level<br />

Provincial Office: Eastern Cape<br />
3 year tertiary qualification in Project Management or equivalent.<br />
3 – 5 years’ experience providing advisory services to SMMEs<br />
Experience in interacting with stakeholders at all levels<br />
Experience in managing service providers<br />
Knowledge of project management policies<br />
Excellent understanding of cooperatives and rural development in general<br />
Ability to work with community-based organisations<br />
Recording of all Finance Statements<br />
Facilitate establishment of sector- specific primary and secondary<br />
cooperatives<br />
Support and guide institutional development of sector-specific primary and<br />
secondary cooperatives<br />
Manage growth and development of sector-specific primary and secondary<br />
cooperatives<br />
Identify and motivate for various interventions for the development and<br />
growth of cooperatives<br />
Identify opportunities for value chain creation for primary cooperatives<br />
Represent primary and secondary cooperatives at local stakeholder forums<br />
Ability to plan and execute work methodically<br />
Ability to analyze socio economic situations and present detailed reports<br />
Ability to work under pressure<br />
