Expendable Seating Sub Assembly<br />

<strong>Weatherford</strong>’s expendable seating sub assembly temporarily plugs tubing<br />
to deploy a hydraulically set packer or to facilitate stimulation, acidizing,<br />
and testing.<br />
In deploying a packer, the assembly is placed in the tubing string below<br />
the packer. A ball drops down the tubing to land onto the seat inside the<br />
assembly. The appropriate differential pressure is applied to the tubing<br />
string to set the packer. Additional differential pressure is applied to shear<br />
out the ball seat, leaving a full opening with a wireline reentry guide shoe<br />
on the tailpipe.<br />
