Standard Design for the Entire Machine Series<br />
Together with the <strong>NBH</strong> 630 / <strong>NBH</strong> 800, the <strong>NBH</strong> <strong>1000</strong> completes the new<br />
<strong>NBH</strong> series, replacing the former <strong>NBH</strong> 290 and <strong>NBH</strong> 350 for large workpieces.<br />
The new series is based on a modern and modular design, comprising<br />
a one-piece cast machine bed with a thermosymmetric column and various<br />
table assemblies / configurations, fast 180° swivel pallet changer and<br />
a modular tool magazines.<br />
A brand new feature of the <strong>NBH</strong> centers centers is the use of a power<br />
saving mode. Depending on the selected saving mode, this feature<br />
automatically levels speed and acceleration to provide an ideal balance of<br />
performance and energy consumption.<br />

With the disc-type magazine’s two-points levelling and the rack-type<br />

Disc-type Tool Magazine<br />
Economical tool magazine for applications with a maximum of 60 to<br />
120 tools. The tools are stored in special tool locations. The disc-type<br />
magazine is exactly positioned by a NC drive, avoiding all mechanical<br />
wear as would be the case with chain-type magazines due to linear<br />
expansion.<br />
Fast tool allocation via linear tool handling device by a NC drive. Utilizing<br />
a double gripper arm, the handling device with an integrated active<br />
cone cleaning system changes the tool into the fast tool changer during<br />
uptime. After the machining process has been completed, the spindle<br />
transfers the tool in a so-called “Pick-up process” to the double gripper<br />
arm. Tools up to 6 kg can be tilted by 180° in 0.9 seconds.<br />
