The term triple-axis spectrometer indicates already the versatility of this instrument (not only<br />

in real space) which distinguishes this concept front other types of spectrometers . As long as<br />

the radius of action is not barred by the radiation shielding, arbitrary points in Q, _w - space<br />

may be selected. For fixed incident wave vector, those points belong to a parabolic surface<br />
