MAIRE TECNIMONT HAS BEEN AWARDED, IN CONSORTIUM
WITH SALINI, THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW
COPENAGHEN AND FREDERIKSBERG’S CITYRINGEN
UNDERGROUND

€700MN pertaining to Maire Tecnimont Group

Rome, 24 November 2010 – Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. announces that its
main operating company Tecnimont S.p.A., in consortium with SALINI
Costruttori S.p.A., has been awarded as preferred bidder by
Metroselskabet I/S, the Company who manages the City of
Copenhagen’s Underground Network, the north bound and south bound
rings of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg’s underground “CITYRINGEN”.
The consortia, that will operate as General Contractor, is composed of
SALINI Costruttori S.p.A., as mandant, Tecnimont S.p.A., as mandatary.
The civil works refer to the design and construction of two “single track
tunnel tubes” of approximately 16.2 Km, 17 stations and 4 wells for the
construction of the two sections.
More precisely, the project envisages the executive design, the
management and execution of the works, as well as the environmental
monitoring along the entire life and safety coordination of the project,
during both the design and the construction phases.
The overall value of the works amounts to circa €1.7 billion, of which
circa €700 million pertaining to Maire Tecnimont Group.
This project represents an important achievement for Maire Tecnimont
Group within the framework of the internationalisation process of the
Infrastructure & Civil Engineering Business Unit.
The project’s completion is expected by the end of 2018.
