Patents/ commercialization of technologies:<br />

• Final Patenting filed (IPR/4.4.3/06069 dated: 17.10.07) for CHETAK – a herbal<br />

formulation developed for the control of major foliar and soilborne diseases of mulberry.<br />

o Patent filed for Navinya developed for the control root rot disease in mulberry to NRDC,<br />

New Delhi (NRDC-RO/Patent /CSRTI, Mysore/20010-11 dt: 17.3.2011).<br />

o The product Navinya is commercialized to M/s. Nandi Agro vet, Bangalore in Karnataka<br />

and M/s Rainbow agro vet Seri Technologies Pvt.-Ltd., Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh<br />

through NRDC, New Delhi.<br />

Awards/Honours:<br />

• Certificate of appreciation from CEO Member Secretary, <strong>Central</strong> Silk Board, Bangalore<br />

during Reshme Krishi Mela held on 3.01.2009 at Chitradurga for significant contribution<br />

for development of technology “Chetak”- An user and ecofriendly herbal based<br />

formulation for the management of foliar and soilborne diseases of mulberry.<br />

• Received best paper presentation award from Society of Applied Biotechnology for the<br />

paper entitled “Efficacy of certain ligno-cellulolytic fungi for recycling of seriwaste” in<br />

National symposium on “Innovative and Modern Technologies for Agricultural<br />

Productivity, Food Security and Environmental Management” held at Mangalore on 22-<br />

23 rd July 2011.<br />

• Received award certificate by Director, CSRTI, Mysore for developing the ‘Navinya’ a<br />

plant based product for management of root rot disease of mulberry, which was released<br />

during the National Conference on Sericulture Innovations Before and Beyond held at<br />

CSRTI, Mysore on 28.01.2011.<br />

• Received ‘Fellow award’ from Society of Applied Biotechnology in recognition of<br />

outstanding achievements and contributions to the field of <strong>Sericultural</strong> biotechnology.<br />
