Burrinjuck was the first dam built in NSW to supply
the irrigation farmers on the expansive plains to the
west. Now, Lake Burrinjuck is also a stunning place
to relax and enjoy a myriad of recreational activities.
Only 1.5 hours drive north of Canberra, Burrinjuck
Waters State Park offers a haven of untouched
native bushland just waiting to be enjoyed. Get
up close and personal with the native wildlife, or
satisfy the thirst for adventure with a choice of
water sports.

Burrinjuck Waters is just four hours drive from
Sydney down the Hume Highway, or only 1.5 hours
drive from Canberra. Turn off the Hume Highway
25kms south of Yass and drive through farmland for
19kms before coming to the forest and a beautiful
winding drive down the hillside to the lake’s edge.
