Landscape Value:
Little Rebel ® will be effective as a small shrub in the landscape, whether
massed or planted in small groupings. Its densely arranged, blood-red winter
stems are a welcome addition to the prairie landscape, where foliage is absent
for 6 months of the year. In summer, its medium green foliage is an effective
contrast with purple ninebarks and golden spireas.
__________________________________________________________________________
Propagation: Cuttings from established plants. Propagation by license only.
Sales Potential:
As a dense compact plant, Little Rebel ® is distinct from other Tatarian dog
woods such as Morden Amber and Prairie Fire. It offers improved winter
hardiness over Kelsey, a dwarf selection of Redosier dogwood.
