<strong>APPLICATION</strong>S FOR <strong>MEDIA</strong><br />
<strong>ACCREDITATION</strong> CLOSE AT<br />
5PM, FRIDAY 16 MARCH 2012<br />
IMPORTANT IN<strong>FORM</strong>ATION:<br />
• Approval of all media accreditation<br />
applications is subject to the discretion<br />
of GTM.<br />
• Media accreditation will only be granted<br />
to members of the media (including radio,<br />
print, television and online) who represent<br />
a recognized and legitimate media<br />
organisation.<br />
• Freelance journalists and photographers<br />
will only be granted accreditation if they<br />
are working on behalf of a recognized<br />
and legitimate media organization and<br />
can provide written instruction from the<br />
editor of specific the media organization<br />
authorizing their employment.<br />
• All working media will be required to sign<br />
a ‘Condition of Entry’ form in addition to<br />
the relevant release form before entering<br />
the event site.<br />
• Any breach of the conditions of entry<br />
or the relevant signed release form will<br />
result in the confiscation of the media<br />
accreditation as well as being escorted<br />
off the event site.<br />
• All media tickets and passes will need to<br />
be collected on event day at each location<br />
by the accredited person. Photo ID will<br />
need to be produced in order to collect all<br />
tickets / passes.<br />
TYPES OF <strong>MEDIA</strong><br />
<strong>ACCREDITATION</strong>:<br />
REVIEWERS:<br />
• All reviewers will be issued with a wristband<br />
that grants them general admission access to<br />
the festival site. Any access above and beyond<br />
general admission is at the discretion of GTM<br />
PHOTOGRAPHERS:<br />
Note: <strong>The</strong>re is a strictly limited number of<br />
pit access photo passes for each event.<br />
Photographers who are not granted a photo<br />
pass with pit access will be issued with a letter<br />
of approval to have with them at all times. This<br />
letter will enable them to have a professional<br />
camera on site and shoot from the crowd.<br />
• Photographers who have photo pit access will<br />
be issued with a ‘Photo Pass’<br />
• Photographers who have been granted site<br />
access but not pit access will be issued with<br />
an authorised letter to carry on their person<br />
at all times<br />
Guidelines<br />
• <strong>The</strong> photo pass must be worn by the named<br />
recipient at all times while on site<br />
• Photo pits are in place in front of both Main<br />
Stages as well as the <strong>Moo</strong>lin Rouge Dance<br />
Tent on each site<br />
• Photographers who have photo pit access only<br />
have permission to shoot from the pit for the<br />
first three songs of each artist with NO FLASH<br />
• Safety is a priority and please be aware that<br />
at all times photographers in the photo pit<br />
will need to follow the directions of the photo<br />
pit manager and security. Failure to do so will<br />
result in the photo pass being revoked and the<br />
photographer being escorted off site<br />
• Photographers do not have access to the side<br />
of stage, backstage or back of house area at<br />
any of the event sites<br />
• Event day access and pass collection<br />
instructions will be issued during April 2012<br />
<strong>MEDIA</strong> <strong>ACCREDITATION</strong><br />
<strong>APPLICATION</strong> GUIDELINES<br />
FILM CREWS / TELEVISION<br />
Note: <strong>The</strong>re is a strictly limited number of film<br />
crew passes for each event. Film crews must<br />
be escorted by a publicity team member at all<br />
times while on site.<br />
• All members of a film crew will be issued with<br />
a wristband to grant them access to the event<br />
site as well as a ‘Moving Camera’ pass which<br />
permits them to operate a moving camera<br />
and film on site<br />
Guidelines<br />
• Film crews must schedule an onsite arrival<br />
time two weeks in advance of show day with<br />
the Publicity manager and coordinator<br />
• All film crews must be escorted by a member<br />
of the publicity team at all times while on site<br />
and follow their instructions<br />
• <strong>The</strong> moving camera pass must be worn by<br />
the named recipient at all times while on site<br />
• Film crews only have access to the photo pit<br />
with the express permission of GTM Publicity<br />
Manager and the artist on stage. If access<br />
is permitted, the film crew may shoot vision<br />
from the pit for no longer than 1 minute and<br />
30 seconds<br />
• Safety is a priority and please be aware that<br />
at all times film crews in the photo pit will<br />
need to follow the directions of the publicity<br />
team member escorting them as well as that<br />
of the photo pit manager and security. Failure<br />
to do so will result in the ‘Moving Camera’<br />
passes of the whole film crew being revoked<br />
and the crew being escorted off site.<br />
• Film Crews do not have access to the side of<br />
stage, backstage or back of house area at any<br />
of the event sites<br />
• Event day access and pass collection<br />
instructions will be issued during April 2012<br />
RECORDING DEVICES<br />
• All members of the media who are conducting<br />
recorded interviews (without vision) for radio<br />
or online will be issued with a ‘Media’ pass<br />
Guidelines<br />
• <strong>The</strong> media pass must be worn by the named<br />
recipient at all times while on site<br />
• Safety is a priority and please be aware that<br />
a Media Pass does not permit access to the<br />
photo pit.<br />
• Recording Device operators do not have<br />
access to the side of stage, backstage or<br />
back of house area at any of the event sites<br />
• Event day access and pass collection<br />
instructions will be issued during April 2012
