APPLICATIONS FOR MEDIA
ACCREDITATION CLOSE AT
5PM, FRIDAY 16 MARCH 2012
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
• Approval of all media accreditation
applications is subject to the discretion
of GTM.
• Media accreditation will only be granted
to members of the media (including radio,
print, television and online) who represent
a recognized and legitimate media
organisation.
• Freelance journalists and photographers
will only be granted accreditation if they
are working on behalf of a recognized
and legitimate media organization and
can provide written instruction from the
editor of specific the media organization
authorizing their employment.
• All working media will be required to sign
a ‘Condition of Entry’ form in addition to
the relevant release form before entering
the event site.
• Any breach of the conditions of entry
or the relevant signed release form will
result in the confiscation of the media
accreditation as well as being escorted
off the event site.
• All media tickets and passes will need to
be collected on event day at each location
by the accredited person. Photo ID will
need to be produced in order to collect all
tickets / passes.
TYPES OF MEDIA
ACCREDITATION:
REVIEWERS:
• All reviewers will be issued with a wristband
that grants them general admission access to
the festival site. Any access above and beyond
general admission is at the discretion of GTM
PHOTOGRAPHERS:
Note: There is a strictly limited number of
pit access photo passes for each event.
Photographers who are not granted a photo
pass with pit access will be issued with a letter
of approval to have with them at all times. This
letter will enable them to have a professional
camera on site and shoot from the crowd.
• Photographers who have photo pit access will
be issued with a ‘Photo Pass’
• Photographers who have been granted site
access but not pit access will be issued with
an authorised letter to carry on their person
at all times
Guidelines
• The photo pass must be worn by the named
recipient at all times while on site
• Photo pits are in place in front of both Main
Stages as well as the Moolin Rouge Dance
Tent on each site
• Photographers who have photo pit access only
have permission to shoot from the pit for the
first three songs of each artist with NO FLASH
• Safety is a priority and please be aware that
at all times photographers in the photo pit
will need to follow the directions of the photo
pit manager and security. Failure to do so will
result in the photo pass being revoked and the
photographer being escorted off site
• Photographers do not have access to the side
of stage, backstage or back of house area at
any of the event sites
• Event day access and pass collection
instructions will be issued during April 2012
MEDIA ACCREDITATION
APPLICATION GUIDELINES
FILM CREWS / TELEVISION
Note: There is a strictly limited number of film
crew passes for each event. Film crews must
be escorted by a publicity team member at all
times while on site.
• All members of a film crew will be issued with
a wristband to grant them access to the event
site as well as a ‘Moving Camera’ pass which
permits them to operate a moving camera
and film on site
Guidelines
• Film crews must schedule an onsite arrival
time two weeks in advance of show day with
the Publicity manager and coordinator
• All film crews must be escorted by a member
of the publicity team at all times while on site
and follow their instructions
• The moving camera pass must be worn by
the named recipient at all times while on site
• Film crews only have access to the photo pit
with the express permission of GTM Publicity
Manager and the artist on stage. If access
is permitted, the film crew may shoot vision
from the pit for no longer than 1 minute and
30 seconds
• Safety is a priority and please be aware that
at all times film crews in the photo pit will
need to follow the directions of the publicity
team member escorting them as well as that
of the photo pit manager and security. Failure
to do so will result in the ‘Moving Camera’
passes of the whole film crew being revoked
and the crew being escorted off site.

RECORDING DEVICES
• All members of the media who are conducting
recorded interviews (without vision) for radio
or online will be issued with a ‘Media’ pass

• The media pass must be worn by the named
recipient at all times while on site
• Safety is a priority and please be aware that
a Media Pass does not permit access to the
photo pit.
• Recording Device operators do not have
access to the side of stage, backstage or
back of house area at any of the event sites
• Event day access and pass collection
