PLAYER PROFILES<br />
2007: Made 27 appearances with 17 starts in the circle<br />
for the Griffs… Posted a career-best 10-6 record with a<br />
save and a 2.25 ERA in 99.2 innings of action… Went<br />
5-1 with three shutouts and an 0.33 earned run average<br />
in seven starts against MAAC opponents en route to<br />
being named first team All-MAAC… Was named the<br />
MAAC Pitcher of the Week three times… Closed out<br />
the regular season with five-straight wins where she<br />
allowed three runs on 12 hits to go with 42 strikeouts…<br />
For the season, she fanned 99 batters, highlighted by<br />
her season-high 11-strikeout effort against Marist…<br />
Had a season-high four complete games and tossed two<br />
complete-game shutouts… Tossed 16 scoreless innings<br />
over a three-game span, the longest of her career… Opposing<br />
teams posted a batting average of .186.<br />
2006: Led Canisius with a team-best 1.60 earned run<br />
average… Appeared in 23 games, making 21 starts…<br />
Posted a 7-6 record in the circle with a save in 105 innings<br />
of work… Started the season with two wins after<br />
allowing two runs on six hits while fanning 11 in 12<br />
innings of action against Norfolk State and Hampton…<br />
Was named the MAAC’s Pitcher of the Week March<br />
3… Ranked second on the team with 86 strikeouts…<br />
Had nine strikeouts in a 1-0 win over Buffalo at home.<br />
2005: Made four starts in the circle… Went 1-3, earning<br />
her first win of the season at UMBC after allowing<br />
three runs in six innings of work… Struck out 12<br />
batters… Went 2-for-4 with her first collegiate home<br />
run and double in the team’s win at UMBC… Also<br />
recorded her first career RBI against UMBC… Missed<br />
most of the season with a knee injury.<br />
2004: Appeared in 29 games and made 17 starts…<br />
Posted a 5-14 record in 104.1 innings pitched… Came<br />
on in relief and picked up her first career save against<br />
Rider in the MAAC Championship game… Gave up<br />
one run on two hits and fanned two in her first collegiate<br />
win at San Diego… Tossed a career-high 9.1<br />
innings in a 7-6 extra inning loss at Robert Morris…<br />
Struck out eight batters on two separate occasions…<br />
Also played volleyball at Canisius during the fall of<br />
2004 and was named to the Western New York Invitational<br />
All-Tournament Team.<br />
Before Canisius: Was named the Western New York<br />
Pitcher of the Year after her senior season at Lancaster<br />
High School... Was also named all-state and first team<br />
All-ECIC... Played volleyball at Lancaster High School<br />
and won three varsity letters.<br />
Personal: The daughter of David and Doreen Garbacz,<br />
Lindsay is majoring in physical education with a minor<br />
in health at Canisius... Lists playing cards and listening<br />
to music as her hobbies... Has three older brothers,<br />
Jay, Craig and Steve... Her father played basketball at<br />
Canisius.<br />
