SURFACE PREPARATION<br />

Drywall:<br />

Fill cracks, pits and voids with patching<br />

compound, let dry and sand smooth. Joint<br />

compounds must be cured and sanded smooth.<br />

Remove all sanding dust.<br />

Plaster:<br />

Allow new plaster to fully cure and harden.<br />

Surface should be free of dust.<br />

Wood:<br />

Sand wood smooth and patch holes and<br />

imperfections with wood filer or putty and sand<br />

smooth. Remove all sanding dust.<br />

Block:<br />

Masonry surfaces and mortar should be fully<br />

cured, usually 30 days. Remove any loose<br />

material or dust.<br />

Concrete and Masonry:<br />

New surfaces should be cured, usually 30 days.<br />

Remove all form release or curing agents.<br />

Surfaces should be free of loose material and<br />

dust.<br />

Mildew:<br />

Remove mildew or suspected mildew by<br />

scrubbing with a commercial mildew remover or<br />

a solution of 1 part liquid chlorine bleach to 3<br />

parts water. Allow solution to remain on surface<br />

for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water and<br />

allow surface to dry completely. Take precautions<br />

to avoid contact with skin or eyes.<br />

APPLICATION<br />

Stir thoroughly and intermix multiple containers.<br />

Apply product at temperatures ranging from 50-<br />

90 °F. Apply with premium quality brush, roller or<br />

spray application. Thinning is not recommended.<br />

LEAD WARNING<br />

WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old<br />

paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS<br />

TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN<br />

CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN<br />

DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN.<br />

PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID<br />

EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator<br />

to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with<br />

a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Before you<br />

start, find out how to protect yourself and your<br />

family by contacting the National Lead<br />

Information Hotline at 1-800-424-LEAD or log on<br />

to www.epa.gov/lead.<br />

CAUTIONS<br />

CAUTION. KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF<br />

CHILDREN. May cause eye and skin irritation. USE<br />

ONLY WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION. Avoid<br />

breathing vapors, spray mist or sanding dust. If<br />

painting indoors, open windows and doors or use<br />

other means to ensure fresh air entry during<br />

application and drying. If you experience eye<br />

watering, headache or dizziness, or if air monitoring<br />

demonstrates vapor/mist levels are above<br />

applicable limits, wear an appropriate, properly fitted<br />

respirator (NIOSH approved) during and after<br />

application. Follow respirator manufacturer’s<br />

directions for respirator use. When sanding, wear a<br />

dust mask. AVOID CONTACT WITH THE EYES<br />

AND SKIN. Wash thoroughly after use. Close<br />

container after each use. DO NOT TAKE<br />

INTERNALLY. FIRST AID: EYE CONTACT: Flush<br />

thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes. If<br />

irritation persists, get medical attention.* IF<br />

INHALED: If affected by vapor or spray mist, move<br />

to fresh air. If breathing difficulty continues, get<br />

medical attention.* IF SWALLOWED: Drink 2<br />

glasses of water. Get medical attention<br />

immediately.*<br />
