Feature Films
KIM Ji-hoon 김지훈
Born in Daegu in 1971, director KIM Ji-hoon watched the
film and came up with the idea that he
could travel abroad if he could only become a film director.
He came to Seoul to enroll college and found the metropolis
to be a whole new world. His first feature is also about a wholly different world, as he had found
while interviewing the natives during the script development stage.
Second Feature
Having lost his parents at an early age, Min-woo takes care of his younger brother Jinwoo
much like a father would. He secretly admires Shin-ae, a nurse whom he meets at
a church gathering, and persuades her to go on a date and watch a film with him. But
not long after the film begins, they hear the sound of sirens, and are rushed out of the
theater, only to find chaos in the streets. Tear gas dances wildly and soldiers are out to
control the crowd by beating them down. Bewildered and filled with anger, the citizens
form a militia, determined to live and protect the ones they love, and Min-woo finds
himself in the middle of it all.
